I've been working out on and off over the last few months, been trying to ease myself back in to the gym after a couple of years off. Yesterday I deadlifted for the first time, I watched a couple videos first to try and get my form as good as possible for my first time.
I thought I kept the weight quite low, 40kg plus the bar which was 20kg I think. did 4 sets of 6 reps and felt O.K after, maybe a little sore. I woke up today and my lower back has a pretty dull ache. Im not sure if this is normal because I've worked the muscles or if I didn't do them correctly and I've pulled something.
Normally I would think somethings wrong but its the same kind of soreness I get in my chest and triceps especially when I hit them pretty hard.

Yeah and I'm in my second year of my D.P.T. Deadlifts will hit your lower back/quads mainly if you have pelvic movement dysfunction (lower crossed syndrome). If you have good posture it is a leg/abdominal movement. I am sorry all of you don't know what the hell you are talking about...go slip your L3/4 doing 600lb deadlifts with your ****ed off hips.

This is beyond fukking retarded.
This is an example of why nobody who has a clue about what they are doing has any respect whatsoever for the fukking morons who run these "certifications", and why everybody at the gym who knows what they are doing laughs at you, and feels sorry for your clients.
I'm glad I made you red.

+ Lawlz at your statements about Lower Crossed Syndrome in regards to deadlifts. It is like you googled it and then just spouted the sh*t out that shows up on the first link. http://www.muscleimbalancesyndromes....ssed-syndrome/
So, as you try to sound smart using obscure syndromes and issues, you merely could've said that everyone with Anterior Pelvic Tilt would feel it in their lower back.
Thank you for solidifying your place as an idiot who occasionally posts in this section.-

Anyone with an excessive anterior pelvic tilt will feel the exercise in their lower back. The lower back should only stabilize the spine in this movement, it should be held in extention the entire lift. You should fix your excessive anterior pelvic tilt before you try doing vertical hip movements. That is what I was attempting to say.
And, mother****er...I did not have to google jack ****, I know it off the top of my head because its part of my job that is done damn well.
