I can spot some mistakes myself, but pretty much terrible form all around.
On the bench I wasn't arched enough and I don't think my shoulders were set. Should I have a wider grip?
On the squat, I think I am not hitting parallel and am good morning-ing the weight up.
Can you give me any advice on my form?
I know I need to lighten the weight to work on my form. Should I just play around with some different weights and rep schemes until I get it down (like some 5 rep, 3 rep and 1 rep practice) or should I just lighten up my current routine, which is
Workout A
Squat 5x5
Bench 5x5
Pendlay Row 5x5
Workout B
Squat 5x5
Overhead Press 5x5
Deadlift 2x5
I have watched "So you think you can squat/bench" multiple times, but will watch them again before Friday along with the vids arian posted in the form check thread on page 3.
Thanks in advance powerlifters/strongmen

Bench: if bar dont touch chest, it dont count. Also if you want to compete start practicing a pause. Also need to tuck elbows & pinch shoulders.
Squat: not hiting depth, shaky/squirming under bar IE not staying tight. When the weight got heavier you started locking your legs out while still bent over. When you put 4 plates you you did a quarter squat.
Lower the weight on everything and work on form. Gotta be able to check the ego at the door.Last edited by InspecktaDeck; 10-17-2012 at 09:15 PM.

Camera ran out of battery unfortunately. Are the any reps in this vid that go to proper depth? I used three plates on the first set, watched the video and then dropped down 40 pounds for the next set watched again and down to 225 for the last few. I have a one foot box which I was thinking of using to help me get a feel for the depth. Should I do that or just learn the proper way?
