i use it to keep me in a good mood while cutting. reduced cals make me grumpy and this stuff helps promote 'positive mood' (according to the labels). i also take ginko for focus.
Within the last year there have been reports in the press disputing the real benefits of St. John's Wort (for depression) and Ginko Biloba (for memory, mental alertness). SAMe also is a supplement for depression but more expensive.
