I'll be the first , this friday 315x3
I did 375 squat also but I forgot to hit record

Im 1 month away from my first meet of the season right on track to hit my new best PR at my new BW of 165lb

and this is last winter January 3 weeks from my last meet of the season where I hit a 425lb squat @180lbs

so start posting ..it doesn't mater what the numbers are it's not a competition
just a way to talk about it in general and to get some inspiration ..

We'll use this thread for the pull-ups video thread. Some members posted interested in having a pull-ups "contest". Although it would be good for anyone to enter even if they think they can't win as it gives you a short time frame to improve your back as much as possible.

The end date is Nov 5th. You have to post a video to confirm your pull-ups. I'll done the $50 GNC gift card I won as a prize to whoever wins.

I've been doing a modified Texas method , just something that i find works well for me
but I used smolov jr for my bench that sucks really badly .. are you into powerlifting ?

yeah fortunately my gym lets me use chalk, they are very relaxed
sometimes I complain but it's a pretty good place , I just wish there where other power lifters to train with

I, myself, am not really a PLer... my ex is, and he got me hooked on Starting Strength as my first program when I began lifting. Ever since we broke up and I stopped lifting with him, my lifts have stalled

I asked him if Mad Cow would work for me, and he said my lifts were too low, lol.

how long have you done SS and what are your numbers ? (PM me if you want)
also do you have the book or you use the wiki ?

I suggest you stick with Starting Strength for as long as you can , I don't know at what point you are with SS so I couldn't comment on whether you should move on or not but it's not really how much you lift

if you have really stalled assuming diet, rest and everything else is in check then maybe it's time for a reset

That's awesome that they are cool with that. A lot of commercial gyms by me are really strict with that. Don't any PLers from the local meets you go to live near you?

Unfortunately the guys I lift in NY are all at least 1.5 hrs away , theres a good pl gym 45 minutes away but I am too lazy to drive up there lol
my gym is family owned so they care about keeping every member

To the poster (Ohdarling?) that was talking about chalk in a gym, I never ask, I just use it, and really clean up after myself after, no one ever says anything.

I haven't taken a video since I hurt my back and went back to the girly weights. I'm getting close to respectable weights, so maybe it's time.

It would be nice to see more women posting videos. And this is not a knock on the guys at all. Just that you don't see too many women posting up vids.

From yesterday. I'm going to do my best to get to 10 before the 5th.

As for other videos, all I have is my deadlifting, and it's not that impressive at the moment. One of these days...

This is a quick clip of my chin ups yesterday when I was trying to figure out my swinging issue.

Not a single muscle was seen that day.

Good for you.

I dont think your numbers should matter on DL's. At least you are doing them.

I think it is great you kept trying after you could not do anymore. that is what gets you to do more over time.

You did. What I mean is if it requires 3 plates you'll get less videos. I cannot DL three plates.

My max deadlift is four plates per side: A 25 and three 10s.

yeah .. never ask just do it and leave a clean area , if they have a problem they'll tell you
I train a guy once twice a month at his gym .. they have a no chalk policy, you think I care? lol no I go in chalk up and do my business, when I am done they don't even know I used chalk I keep it in a 1lb ziplock bag .. the spray cleaner gets rid of all residues on the bar

it's the reason I started this to see more females , you girl just need a little shove and motivation when it comes to videos
