I thought they would be a waste of money at first, but i've had my black studios for about a year and I love them. It actually bothers me to listen to music on something other than beats. The nice thing about the studios is they are cheaper than the pros but they are noise canceling unlike the pros. So even if you dont listen to music with them they can just be used for noise canceling. The studios are the best value if you decide to buy them. The sound quality in beats are amazing, as if you were listening to an expensive stereo system. If you like hip-hop, the beats have great bass. my friend bought a pair of sennheiser hd280's after his beats broke. we both think theyre better than beats. i installed an aux plug in them so he could use an aux cable like a baws.

Own a pair of bose earbuds, and known 2 other people with them. They'll deliver some pretty damn good quality, tad high on bass, but they wear down. The silicon, super comfy, gets cut and ripped. The area on the wire right underneath of the earbud is starting to tear... I know their warranty is supposed to be pretty good, so I would recommend them.

Ultrasones/senns/AKSs all make some good high sensitivity (can be driven w/o portable amp) bass-cannon phones that look decent and will blow any beats away sound-wise. Avoid Beats and Bose if at all possible, nowhere near good for your money.Bulking to hibernate

I have Phonak Audéo earphones and Audio-Technica headphones. Quality is brilliant for the price.
You're mostly paying for a cool brand name when you buy Dr Dre or Skullcandy.
