my brother eats once a day...it is just what he has always done since he was a teenager and he is now ya know really old (45)
He drinks a lot of liquids during the day but only eats dinner..I would probably faint if I tried it


first thing I had to do when I cleaned up my eating habits was to also clean up my son's..out went the doritios and the sugar pop, cookies...
ooo I still let him have those once in awhile otherwise where is the fun of being a kid
just not all the time

yeah eating cleaner is key. I bought some Special K granola bars and her kids like them. So instead of the chocolate covered Dips things they eat my stuff.

my sister in law calls the fiber one bars "fart bars" so beware if you buy some of those

anybody ever go to one of those children's mental disorder sessions? I'm 20, but my doctor recommended it, but i don't have clinical depression(she says.) I'm diagnosed with chronic depression and feel as if i'm suffering from derealisation. Can anyone recommend me anything to keep a positive mind throughout the day?

i've been sleeping 16~ hours a day 5 days a week (when i'm not at work), I feel as if there's something wrong with me. My doctor does not think there is, but I feel as if i'm really abnormal.

thanks, been thinking about smoking for a while as i'm a former alcoholic(7 months sober) with few relapses. Smoking may be what I turn to.

lol smoking is a bad hobby. Congrats on the sobriety though, I am with you there.

Maybe some other more healthy hobbies would be better?

I have an ADHD brother and two ADHD nephews: all are caffeine and nicotine junkies ..



I am not saying do it..but
caffeine will help bring a depressive up a bit
and we know nicotine has calming effects

I grew up poor with a single mom going to back to college
we had yard sale clothes and food stamps and I hated being known as a poor kid

but I there was never a day that I ever doubted that my mother loved me and was
watching over me and wanted good things for me in my life

here is another one:
my husband spend almost an entire year unemployed and drinking and I thought I would lose my mind
but I survived it and he quit drinking

the day we buried my grandfather was the same day I was giving birth to my first son

yes there is bad in the world...but there is also good

I love my family, part of the reason I am still here- it would disappoint them if I committed.

I guess I just wish I could better the world, not let them feel the pain that I do.

being loyal and faithful
I got tired of crying
tired of being depressed and sad and alone
tired of hearing someone say one thing but always do another
say the right words but not live them
it was the hardest decision of my life
I meant those vows ya know
this is by far my biggest failure

I know you love your family
this a good thing yes?
but...this does not mean

You should join the Positive Crew. You say you got tired? Me too. Just of different things. I try to remain positive but something always eats at me. btw, being sad and alone is so familiar to me.

it helps to have a goal
something that you are working towards
or a dream..something that you can envision that you want to achieve
now ...it helps if you are working towards that dream a little bit at a time
even if that is just working a job to pay off a debt that will free you up so you can go after that dream

now are you getting good sleep? eating good? getting some exercise? if you are on meds are you taking them? they aint gonna do much good sitting in the bottle..if they are not working or not enough...what are you doing about it? make a doc appt

how about fresh air? ya I know its cold out there..maybe some vit D? st. john's wort..

even when you are doing all of this day in and day out..you might have a series of day that ya feel ok

Agreed. I've not been taking as much care of myself as I could be. No meds. A degree and physical fitness goals are what I should strive for. Btw did not mean to sound like I was "attacking" you with my divorce comment.

Well, the school semester starts today. Looking forward to the routine.

Took my D3 and St Johns Wort this morning.
