you have the patience of a Saint. I'd probably flip shiit if she was srs. But in the end, when two people are yelling no one is listening. Cooler heads prevail and all that nonsense. But I mean, to tell her it was your fault (or to accept it) and fix the car...hmm IDK if I could do all that just yet. Its like just accepting someones faults for the sake of putting a band aid over the issue instead of fixing it.

So my wife backed into my car today, then yelled at me because when I told her "I didn't pull all the way up the driveway" she thought I meant that I left the car on the street. Which apparently excuses her from looking behind her when she backs down the driveway. I'm trying really hard to be the supportive husband, but she is still being super bitchy like it's completely my fault, and there is only so much I can take. I just let her go to bed mad, but hopefully she will sleep on it and take some responsibility in the morning.

There was very little damage to my car, but her trunk is noticeably dented, and looks as if it isn't latched even though it is. I didn't try opening it - not in the mood to mess with it just now.

The DB has to do a lot more work on large threads than small threads. Queries require the software to use something called indexes and these help speed up the performance but there is no way to fully mitigate the hit a large thread being refreshed several times will cause

The word is that there are quite a few rant type threads these days so 10K has been reduced to 8K. O/T threads are seen as a privilege so I'm not going to question it. I remember when the rant was on life support with threads being deleted, regulars being banned, and I honestly didn't think it'd last. Fast forward 6 years and for the most part it's been smooth sailing.

That "rule" is something I still don't understand. Plenty of threads go to 10k, even currently.

I mentioned that "rule" in another thread awhile back and got lit up for being wrong.

Seems to be one of the many things where individual mods get to do whatever the hell they want I guess

Came down from above. They said larger threads slow the servers down. With so many and the forum so large, reduce the cap from 10k to 8k.
