Actually I was spitting sunflower seeds into it. My pinky always trails out. Started from joking years ago, I'd always do the thing (that is apparently from Spongebob.. not sure honestly, but a buddy told me it was after he told me the line), "When in doubt, pinky out" thing. Then I did it so much, it has kind of stuck. I also might have been pointing to one of the guys while talking.
Aside: Black Hawk Down is such an awesome movie. You show me a single service member who isn't inspired and urged to join their comrades in combat, I'll show you a giant pussy.
I've said it before, but while the movie includes quite a bit, it naturally had to cut a lot out and also amalgamate lots of characters. For instance, Eric Bana's character "Hoot" was a combination of Norm Hooten, John Macejunas, and probably a few other operators.
The biggest aspect they couldn't really get across in the movie was the drug addiction the ****lians had. Khat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khat) is legal in ****lia and apparently nearly all of them were on it. It was essentially like crack. A major stimulant, provides a euphoric affect and sh*t. They wouldn't even notice half of the gunshots wounds they received. They'd be charging down and getting lit up but not falling. Their body was too doped up to realize they should go down.-

I'm sick of reading war novels. Be it fact or fiction.
It only serves to remind you that not a god damn thing has changed in over two centuries and putting aside the surface bravado of patriotism and duty, at the end of the day people are still losing life, limb, and loved ones over either the petty games of a few, or menial issues that can easily be solved through dialogue.
On a cheerier note, I got new boxer briefs with an amazing fit. It feels like my ballbag is resting on a bunch of marshmallows.

I had a friend that would use the word "for" instead of "so". When playing basketball he would say "stop guarding me for I can shoot!" Me and a couple other friends started doing it to make fun of him. We did it so much that it stuck with us, and would often find ourselves making fools of ourselves in front of others that didn't get the joke.

lol might be effective.
Back on BHD, one of the crazier stories that stuck with me from the book was one of the soldiers, died from being shot in the nuts. He fought for hours utnil he finally bled out. THe body is unable to clot itself with a GSW to that area. Combat medics couldn't do anything on the ground and no medevacs to get him out. A shame and admirable.-

While that is true, the book is amazing. Well written. As a Tom Clancy fan, you'd enjoy the writing, but knowing it was true and reading about many things that happened in that instance is just amazing, IMO.
lol yep. I've done that with other things too.-

Tis true. Perhaps because this is one of the few that I've read about quite abit, but this conflict is one of the few modern era conflicts that intrigues me. Also, sadly, many improvements were made to combat vehicles and equipment after this incident (humvees ended up getting walls/plating around the gunner up top). Bullet proof glass, etc.

I could not remember the Sheryl Crow Bond song at all. Googled for the year - 1997. I had a new job, a newborn, and a 2 year old. I don't remember anything else from that year.

I just finished reading "A Frozen Hell" about the Winter War (Finland v Soviet Union). Not a bad read; some pretty amazing stats (no e-stats). In that case, that war allowed Finland to remain an independent country when all the smaller Baltic nations were absorbed into the Soviet Union.
As far as your new panties are concerned, allow me to offer my sincere congratulations. I'll rest much easier knowing that your ballbags are comfy.too bad stupidity isn't painful
The Germans have always had a diabolical streak in them when it comes to their machine's repairability. Krautcars should have a sticker under the hood that says: "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here with tools, and a schedule to keep."
