But if all carriers are FORCED to cover these expensive pre-existing conditions without being able to cover the costs, don't the premiums go up for everyone?
I think Obama actually said it best: "‘if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house."My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

So I grabbed some new smokey chipotle doritos last night...Chipotle is just smoked jalapenos, so why do they always have to describe it as smokey???

I was so happy the election was over and the stupid political squabbling would finally stop.

Just providing the theory behind it. I can't tell you for sure what will happen. We'll see what happens in 4 more years. You also reduce overhead by removing the restrictions on pre-existing conditions. Insurance companies spend a lot of money just determining who they can afford to provide insurance to. It's kind of ass backwards when you think about it. So this will remove a lot of overhead that could be used to actually help people, i.e. medical services. I'm sure there's a lot more to the laws than I am providing though.

I almost forgot about this.
Do we need to have another little session where we talk about/remind each other that most people are a dumb?
Clearly the majority of people in this country believe Golds Gym personal trainers know their stuff, and 1/4 squats with the weight over the balls of your feet are preferred because full squats are bad for your knees.
The majority is often wrong.

Keeping or raising the income and cap gains tax rate on the highest bracket leads to larger allocation of investment income dedicated towards tax free strategies for the investment income portion, leading to a systematically incremental lower effective tax rate on total income.
Sorry dems but you can't cage the rich, theyz feathers is just too bright.

Either way it wouldn't be the first time a politician has lied and it won't be the last time.

Interesting. It's a big problem here with teachers. They aren't retiring, teaching well into their 60's, and there are no jobs for young teachers out of college. The ones that do retire, stay on as substitutes, and take more jobs away from new teachers.
I don't know what you can do about it. Lower the age when you can collect Old Age Pension to 55? Then you run the giant risk of running that well dry, and leaving dick all for the people our age when we retire. It's likely going to be that way anyways, at least here. Anyone with half of a brain should be saving as much as they can for when they retire. Unfortunately, a lot don't, and rely on the gov't funds to live off of when they get to retirement age.I remove my shirt to poop crew

Hrmmm...... not sure on all the context, but if true... pretty f*cked up:
President Obama’s campaign filed a lawsuit to stop members of the military from having three extra days to vote early – claiming it is “entirely arbitrary” and has “no legitimate justification." This is not only legally inaccurate, it’s wrong. Fifteen non-partisan veterans groups oppose the President’s lawsuit. Join the opposition and sign our petition today.
