The final mission in Xcom is a beesh. BRB, gotta load saved game because my ethereal dude got annihilated.
When you started to play that game to try to fit in with some of the regular Ranters did you then eventually find you enjoyed it regardless of your original reason for playing it?
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see.

I just came up with an idea for my book that's a scanning device based on quantum mechanics. I'm pretty sure it's actually plausible.
Fun.

This reminds me of the ... intelligent folks ... up here at work who brew a pot of coffee then use the coffee to brew another pot of coffee. They make coffee with coffee.
Edit: That experiment didn't produce terrific results, FYI.

I came up with a title for your book: "Nobody Cares".
Let me see if I can say this correctly... bear with me here I'm just spitballin'.
Quantum entanglement is the phenomenon by which two qubits (the basic unit of quantum information) become mysteriously connected. When the phase state of one qubit is measured the phase state of the other instantly assumes the same state. Using this humans have been able to make encrypted networks that function with something called quantum key distribution. The actual message itself isn't sent with quantum computers or anything -- instead, what happens is the two parties, call them Alice who is sending the message and Bob who is receiving it, are able to tell (at light speed) whether or not their signal has been intercepted by another party.
This is the starting point for the scanner idea.
Hope this helps.

The Eagles have released two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Babin in the first major roster move for a team that's lost seven straight games.
Babin had just 5.5 sacks after recording 18 last year. He signed a five-year, $28 million deal last summer after going to his first Pro Bowl with Tennessee following the 2010 season.
The move came Tuesday, a day after a 30-22 home loss to Carolina.
Coach Andy Reid says the Eagles cut Babin to give more playing time to younger players.

Sigh... what fun spending time at the DMV today. The lady working my renewal told me I was one of 74,000 licensees whose records were corrupted/missing when transferred to the new 3M software (sure was $9M well spent, eh, State of Kansas?).
She had to recreate my record. End result being issued a new license plate. And they haven't accepted Visa debit cards since July 2011. I had to take cash out from a damn ATM just to pay for my renewal.
