I love live trees, but the last couple ones we ever got were a nightmare . . . plus we had a couple houses in our neighborhood burn to the ground when their trees caught fire. So we gave up about 10 years ago and went artificial. Have had the same tree that whole time and it still looks great. Good luck with yours, though!! Something about the pine tree smell that makes the holidays a bit more enjoyable.

Wow really? I would never ever leave it on when we aren't home. Didn't even do that with the fakey.
We got a pre-lit one a few years ago=awesome! But then a section of the lights went out and we couldn't fix it=annoyed as chit.

I don't think it has significant calories. Coffee is considered a freebie on my meal plan...only a few cals/8 oz. I add a scoop of protein powder...and unless I'm close to comp time, I add 1 tbsp heavy cream for a good fat source! YUMMO!!

I'm currently using chocolate, but vanilla works well also. It's similar to a cappuccino. I've had to get creative with my protein powder...got tired of fruit smoothies.

Simple in concept but I would have never thought about it. This way perhaps I can not feel as guilty about having 2 cups of coffee in the morning and neglecting the protein shake. Thank ya ma'am.

Tip (if you're not using a blender or shaker): What has worked best for me is to put protein in cup first and add a bit of coffee...stir really well to blend...then add in the rest of coffee. If I do it in reverse order, it is quite difficult to avoid clumps.

Mmmmm...yum!
I make a decent little protein pancake=2/3 cup egg whites (reg egg whites make it icky), 30g quick oats, 16g natty PB and half a med banana. Oh and cinnamon.
'Bout 30gs of protein and super tasty.

Yep. During my prep I was sleeping in 2-3 hour spurts. Now that I'm eating almost everything in sight, I sleep like a bear in hibernation.
