itsagoodday how long did it take to master the conventional push up for you?

Good question. Ummmmm... maybe six months before I could get a solid set of 20 or so? Around there somewhere. I don't know if that's good or bad as far as timing goes, lol. I remember feeling like I made no progress at all for a long time, for a while my trainer had me walk away from them and work on strengthening my chest with other exercises. When we tried again, I could do a few and from then on they were a fixture in my program, so worked on them 2-3 times a week. My first trainer was the push-ups queen, so I wound up doing lots and lots (and lots) of those with her. My current trainer loves to superset with push-ups... I call it the Take No Prisoners approach to chest and triceps day.

Get out there and enjoy it! I deeply, deeply miss New England winters. We haven't had more than an inch here . Getting out and wandering around when everything's shut down is one of my favorite things to do.
