Treadmills make me want to cry, but I get that you need to be around the house for the kids :-/.
I'm having a fast week or something...first getting told I'm hard to keep up with on the bike path, then today I ran my fastest 3 miles ever. Managed 8:37 miles without feeling like death warmed over. I feel like all sorts of PRs in the gym tomorrow! :P"success is a journey, not a destination" -most profound fortune cookie ever!

I've been doing HIIT on the treadmill. I find it easier because I know how fast I am going in the highs and lows (rather than road running). I don't know how much I would use it though. LOL'd at the "to hang clothes, towels, etc " comment because I could see that happening. I really am going through an intense dislike of cardio. I prefer weights so much more. We have a room in our house that would be perfect for a gym so I'm thinking eventually we might get a power rack etc. I do like going to the gym though because it's one of the only chances I have to get out of the house without two kids attached to me!

Seems like a lot of drama in a few forums today.

Oh yes. Based on what I've just read, I should apologize for taking an interest in lifting at such a young age. I should also feel utterly ashamed for having the audacity to join a community focusing on this interest. And I should probably just go hang myself for periodically wanting to engage in any conversation that deviates from it.

Glad I wasn't the only one.
I think this is probably going to be the hardest lesson for me as a parent. I suppose ultimately the mistakes people make on your own are the ones that they learn from the most. People/kids are only ever going to change when they are ready, not when someone else tells them too. What's happened?
On a lighter note I got some new shoes today. I got the New Balance Minimus with Vibram soles and zero drop. Should help me feel the ground while doing squats and deads. They were on sale too!
