LBM, do you use the treadmill much at home? I'm wondering if I should get one. It means I'd be able to do cardio while the kids are asleep and hubs is at the gym.

I have a TM at home and I use it more than I would at the gym, which is not often but I should hit it more often

I use my treadmill all the time, to hang clothes, towels, etc on. I need to get my fat butt on it and use it the correct way

The only thing I have at home is a pull up bar. I don't think I'd use any other equipment regularly unless it were a squat rack or something like that. I know I wouldn't use cardio equipment. I don't even want to use that at the gym.

I have a bench and a curl bar at home and I use them when I cant make it to the gym but that tm is once a blue moon

I would love to get a bench at home so my husband could spot me. I feel like I need a spotter on that particular one.

yeah that is the downside about working out at home. no spotter so I cant go as heavy as I want. also might be the angle of my bench but everything feels 30lbs heavier at home

I need a partner at the gym. There are a few guys that always offer to spot but if they aren't there or busy I don't want to ask someone I don't know knows what they are doing.

There are quite a few really cool people at my gym that I should probably utilize more.

Treadmills make me want to cry, but I get that you need to be around the house for the kids :-/.

I'm having a fast week or something...first getting told I'm hard to keep up with on the bike path, then today I ran my fastest 3 miles ever. Managed 8:37 miles without feeling like death warmed over. I feel like all sorts of PRs in the gym tomorrow! :P

I've been doing HIIT on the treadmill. I find it easier because I know how fast I am going in the highs and lows (rather than road running). I don't know how much I would use it though. LOL'd at the "to hang clothes, towels, etc " comment because I could see that happening. I really am going through an intense dislike of cardio. I prefer weights so much more. We have a room in our house that would be perfect for a gym so I'm thinking eventually we might get a power rack etc. I do like going to the gym though because it's one of the only chances I have to get out of the house without two kids attached to me!

I wouldnt worry.
Some people are bitter judgemental control freaks that pop in from time to time, then they will stop posting and disappear for awhile only to return and do it again.

I think this is probably going to be the hardest lesson for me as a parent. I suppose ultimately the mistakes people make on your own are the ones that they learn from the most. People/kids are only ever going to change when they are ready, not when someone else tells them too. What's happened?


On a lighter note I got some new shoes today. I got the New Balance Minimus with Vibram soles and zero drop. Should help me feel the ground while doing squats and deads. They were on sale too!
