It'd be like preparing your entire life to bang 100 chicks in a row, getting tan, hitting the gym, making sure your hair looks right and reading the Kama Sutra, only to realize when you get there that you're gay and cannot get hard in the presence of women.

Kinda depends. I wasn't okay with being the guy on the side and she did not feel good about what she was doing so the half-life was not bound to be too long. Basically, I let it kind of play out until it started to fuk with my mind then I decided that I needed to set my foot down. I mean I had said those things before, but this time I was ready to actually commit to getting answers and live with whatever those answers entailed. Problem is that walking away isn't easy and sometimes you have to walk away multiple times before it actually happens. Was one of my friend's 21st last night so we went out to celebrate with her and who do I run into? Yeah, so things went from there. Sucks, because it is something I want, but I can't let it happen because I know it is hurting her and is not going anywhere for me.
As to being confident - it comes with time, but you can also help yourself along. I noticed I used to walk with my head down a lot, not looking at people, purposefully avoiding interaction, because I didn't want to do something stupid. So I started changing those things and extending my boundaries, Still doing it and it is always something I can work on, but even the little things of putting yourself in situations that make you uncomfortable can help you build confidence and move past the feelings of fear.
Easy thing to try - next time you walk by a female on campus and she looks at you then look at her straight in the eyes. Eventually throw in a smile. You'd be amazed at how much just those little acts of confidence make girls notice you/makes them blush. Soon it'll be very natural
^ Reasons to not take advice from an 18 year old. If you really think all women are shallow then you need to get out of the misc and actually go meet and talk to females.

Oh lord.
Found this thread on a Magic the Gathering "real life advice" forum.

"So I was eating Doritos this morning and later in the afternoon i found a chip on the floor. I stood there for a good 30 minutes wondering if I should eat it or not.
Eventually I ate it.
What would you have done? "
"It's not likely to hurt you.
I would have gone for it."
"What flavor Dorito we talking? If it was any of the plebeian tier of common flavors I would leave it for the rats. But if it's Blazin Buffalo & Ranch, that's gotta get in my body."
"Wow, It was Blazin Buffalo & Ranch."
"You made the right choice. Unless someone dropped raw meat or bleed Staph infected blood all over the floor you are likely to suffer no ill effects from eating a Dorito off the floor.
"
Etc...

haha I preciate it. while I dont think all girls are shallow, the 180 that comes with going from fat to skinny and how you're treated says alot haha
At least you went ahead and put your foot down. Who knows, I bet she'll come around. Just depends if you're still there or not.
confidence wise I try to do stuff like that, but sometimes the heart racing/shakes appear and dat shyt sucks."Overtraining" - sponsoring fukarounditis & half a$sed workouts since 1991
