I always tip, but my pizza spot charges 3 dollars for delivery. Is that normal anywhere else other than Ny of course?

I usually tip 1 or 2 dollars per pizza. But I almost never get pizza delivered. Huge ****ing waste of money and time. 50 minute delivery or 15 minute pickup and better coupons AND I don't need to tip $2 plus pay a $3 delivery fee? Umn yeah I'll be picking it up.

Delivered pizza for a year and a half. most fun/relaxed job I ever had. Average tip was about $3. Good was 4-5, awesome was anything above that. $2 kinda sucked but it was better than nothing. The main thing to factor in, imo, when tipping a delivery guy isnt how much your total was, its how far he had to drive and how busy it probably is.
For example. If I drive 1 mile down the street on a regular tuesday night (not busy) and get a $3 tip on 2 pizzas, im no care ever, and go about my day
if i drive 10 miles+ on the day of the super bowl (mega bizz-e) to the outskirts of the delivery area because you wanna be a hick and live in the boondocks and you give me $2, im gonna rage. Even if all you spent was 12 bucks. That means I just gave up nearly a full tank of gas AND missed out on 1-3 other deliveries in which I could have made at least 6 more bucks without using anymore gas.
-How far do you live from pizza guy
-how busy is he
-did you order the pizza 15 minutes before they close
Best delivery every: literally less than half a mile (probably 1/4 mile from the store, neighborhood 2nd closest to it) old couple order one pizza, 11.99+ tax. Theyre chilling by their pool, give me a beer and the dude hands me 40 bucks and tells me to keep the change. Thanks jeff LOL

Also, if youre having a party, the best thing you can do is offer the guy a shot, or to play a game of beer pong with you. Give him 2 bucks and a beer and he will love you forever.
I dont smoke but I got offered weed on a weekly basis (closed every friday night) and always had people inviting me to party with them when I got off, or giving me shots/beers. Was awesome.
