Im no where near where I want to be. Its going to take me 10 years+ With gear where I want to be. 265 Pound freak for a show in top condition/290+ in the offseason.

yay someone needed to say it. glad you did cuz you said it best.
listenting to your body really IS the best way to go about optimal fitness and goals
the mind really is the best tool we have, your brain hears all your thoughts and if we think we can or cant we are right. motivation is key aka stay away from scales.
I used to read so many articles and bodybuilding posts on low carb or keto or IF on junk food vs healthy food on studys on GI index on insulin on pasta on bananas and i took it ALL on board and my head was a mess but its all crap because we are all individual. i do a large deficit with majority carbs and lose as expected where as before with my fast metabolism,being young, being not fat.. i stalled and the advice was rubbish. eat whatever you crave.
Sinse i cleared my mind my habits have changed and i have control without trying for it like before.

I follow IIFYM. Lost a lot of my weight that way.
Almost taking my life about 2 years ago because of past/childhood was the darkest place ever. Addicted to voliums/Xanez life was dark..
Im happy with life now, not where I need to be/want but hey its art without an eraser one day at time.

On SS->
Benches 150x3x5 monday
Attempts 155x5 on friday, gets 2, MAYBE 3, fails. Then bull****s 2 more sets with like 2-3 reps at most, else they're chest bouncing. Get's pissed.
Attempts bench press next wednesday, 155x5, get's 5 on the first set, can't get more than 3 on the other two sets.
OOPS STALLED guess I'm going to switch to a brosplit that looks like a ****ing hot mess.★★★ Thick. ★★★

nobody here is born with perfect genetics, or was completely injury free, or had a prefect base to start off with...or necessarily trained longer than you - everybody can make excuses like you just did
a bit more blood, sweet and tears while you're caring double your weight on your back or holding it in your hands and then we can have a great talk about what others are doing wrong brah
EDIT: ^^and a bit of discipline in the kitchen if i may add.
