Notes
* Another tough night session. I worked late, and as a result had dinner later than usual. When I started the workout, I was feeling a little bloated. I didn't feel strong or focused for most of this workout. Was able to hit all the reps, but it could have been better.
* Two-a-day coming up for Thursday - bench in the morning, Smolov at night

Thanks Boom. Been busy but I'll make the rounds to everyone's logs today
I'm down for eating everything in sight today and tomorrow
Thanks BFF! #PERSEVERANCE
LOL thanks! Glad I could inspire you
Thanks Woodbro! Will be popping into your log later ...
I had heard that the Smolov intense cycle 5x5s are the worst of the sessions. After going through the two 5x5s, I completely agree
Thanks bro!
Thanks ricky! And agreed about two-a-days being worth it
There were two 6/10s squatting in the Smith machine next to me. Unfortunately, I would have had to move my camera phone to the other side to record, which would have been too obvious O_o
LOL
Thanks bros! Will catch up in your logs today## chillin at home crew

You guys are looking for 50 loggers?? That'll take over the sponsored log section lol
Too bad I'm not cutting, else I'd be all over this
... Speaking of not cutting, I've noticed recently that I've had a harder time getting my upper back and shoulders positioned right for the low-bar squat setup. My grip width is the same, but it's just more uncomfortable now than before. Don't think I'm getting less flexible, so maybe there's some muscle growth there## chillin at home crew

Notes
* One of the best workouts I've ever had, although it didn't feel like it when I was going through it, especially during squats.
* Bench felt strong in the morning. I'm sure I had 285x3, but decided to go up by +2.5 to 282.5 instead. I wanted to save any spare energy and strength for Smolov later Thursday night.
* When I started squatting, again I felt strong. The main problem was that my hips - especially my right hip - were very tight. When I hit depth, they flared up, and I completely lost any hip drive I would have had.
* The thought did cross my mind to postpone the Smolov session one day, in the hope that my hips would loosen up. However, I didn't want to give up so soon, so I kept doing bodyweight squats in between the warmup sets to try and help. Then, it occurred to me that my wide stance (which had gotten slightly wider over the last month) may be the culprit. I brought my feet in a little bit, did a BW squat, and felt no pain at all The next set after that was the 300x3, and that went very well with the narrower stance. Needless to say, I was re-energized to continue with the session.
* The top sets with 405 went off without a hitch. I didn't come close to failure on any of these sets, and definitely felt like I was stronger than last Saturday's session with the same top sets.
* Only one more intense cycle session to go. Sunday night will conclude with 405x4 for 3 sets!
... Video will be up later in the morning## chillin at home crew

Sick squats yet again! (Nice bench triple too!)
Glad to hear it was easier than last weeks 405 triples.
Amazing how just a little bit narrower of a stance can make a huge difference. I've run into that several times where I'm too tight and can't hit depth, then I inch feet in a bit and it's like night and dayPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Sick squatting and more sick that you only have one more intense cycle and you're graduating from Smolov! Good job bro.
Good to hear that the small change in your stance helped you finished through.CONQUERING BARBELL
