So i have just switched to bulking from cutting about 2 weeks ago, and i am nonstop hungry all the time! I am about 5'6", 137lbs. My maintenance, according to most sites and advice from peeps on this forums is about 2100, so ive been eating about 2400 every day. However, i am still hungry ALL of the time! for example, right now im not feelin great so i called out from work, but i had to get up at 4.30am to call my boss and call out. I then had 1/2 cup oats (in h20), 1/2 cup egg whites with one egg, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and one banana(about 500 cals). I went back to bed, and at 11.30am made myself a nice turkey & swiss sandwhich on whole wheat (350 cals). At 12.30 i was hungry again so i toasted a 50 cal piece of bread, put 1tbsp of PB on it, and had 1 scoop of myofusion in water (300 cals total). Now, like clockwork, 1 hr later, even laying in bed all day, I am hungry again! when i eat these meals i feel full and satisfied, but it tapers off very quickly. What do i do?

2,100 for a 19yr old male that is active and lifting weights... doubt it. I say your maintenance is closer to 2,400-2,500 easy. Try increasing calories to 2,600-2,800.

Dude I'm the same height and a little heavier and I'm bulking on 3200...I'm not even sure I'm actually gaining on that even. If you're lifting and active like most 19 year olds are you're easily up there.
Don't go by the stickies estimations yet. I've learned that even though it says they don't apply till 18 I don't think it really applies until like 21-22 years old because as guys we're still growing.

Eat larger meals and drop those liquid calories... might aswell include some low kcal foods with high volumen like vegetables and fruits.
and loled at 2100 kcal are you in a coma or something?"There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. "

Dude the same happen to me... I work out 3 times a week and my TDEE is 2200, i know this for sure because when i was cutting i was eating 1700 kcal and losing exactly 1 lb. When i bulk i eat around 2450 kcal to gain 2 lb a month and i'm always hungry, i guess you need to resist. That suck, at least when bulking you should feel full

You're eating 2400 and considering it bulking?
I'm a female, size XS, 5'5 - my average intake to maintain is 1800 with light exercise.
My male fitness partners, who in their 30's have much slower metabolism than yours, consume 2400 daily with light exercise just to maintain.
You know Michael Phelps and his legendary olympic 10k calorie diet? You can eat about half of that and then consider it bulking.Always on the go, no regrets.

I'm currently 36 yrs old, 158 lbs, and cutting at 2700 cals/day, losing ~1 lb per week, just FYI.
TDEE is a moving target -- when you go from a cut to bulk, or vice-versa, you're changing a lot of variables, hormonal influences, energy levels, etc. etc. Make your best estimate at first, but know that it is only an estimate. Then observe weight change with a given caloric intake and adjust accordingly -- that is the only way to do this accurately!

I am 29, Have a job where I sit all day and my maintanance is higher than your bulking cals.. You need to eat more.. And you're still young... Knock it over 3,500 cals for a few weeks and see if you start gaining at a rate you like

I'm 21 years old, 67 inches, around 137 lbs. and I'm also incredibly hungry on my bulk. I've been trying to hit around 2000-2100 kcal per day. Did you bump your calories up to 2800-3200 kcal all at once? Just wanted to know if increasing your calories helped with your hunger and also how you determined how high to escalate your calories when you increased them. Thanks

I bulked at 2800 calories at 125lbs. All i do is lift and go to school. started about 0.8 lbs a week, then dropped to 0.2 then had to add them backup. Also im hungry every hour, i just fast for the majority of the day because i feel less hungry while im fasted, and i have no problem eating 2000 cal + at once.
