Stinks cuz I wanted to do the bodyweight bench for reps contest Animal had in The Cage at The Arnold over the weekend.

1. Thanks boo
2. Sets of 6-8 with just my bodyweight are easy enough and are a good warmup. I like to hit them hard after pulling by adding weight and more reps to get good work in.
3. I definately will as soon as I can get under the bar again. Thanks for even being interested in that.

You're right on. I decided to skip the meet over the last few days. No need to risk it.
UPDATE!
Still doesn't feel wonderful. I tried doing pushups yesterday and I could "feel" it after a few reps. Training will be altered a bit for the next couple months, and I really think I needed to do that anyways.
Went to The Arnold over the weekend. Eric Spoto touched my shoulder and said "excuse me, and I get by you?". I fully expect this to heal my pec.

Good to hear you're playing it smart. I have a glute strain right now and deadlifting AND squatting may have to go on hold for a week. Sucks, but I don't wanna make it worse. Also, since Spoto touched you there's a good chance you can bench a good 10lbs more than you could before. In before 515.

Heal that glute up buddy. LOL yea it was funny. He tapped me on the shoulder then I turned and saw who it was. I turned to Thom and said "HEHEHEHEHEHEHE SPOTO JUST TOUCHED MY SHOULDER HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEH". Then Mark Bell fitted me for a slingshot and commented on my belly hair when I laid down on the bench. He was frickin JACT. srs.

The slingshot worked out pretty well for today. I focused on tucking my elbows hard trying to take stress off of my pec. I felt it just a little bit on the 275 set, so I backed off and got some lighter work in. Other than that I had a pretty good workout.

Thanks a lot! The staples of my back training are definately wide grip chins and chest supported rows. However, I think deadlifting heavy has made the biggest impact on overall thickness and growth.
