    Calories but no carbs?

Hey, I am 5ft 11in and 167lb and an estimated 16.5% body fat, up 5.5% from about 3 month ago and put on about 7lb. I stopped lifting weights as I found it difficult to find time with shift work at McDonalds and the girlfriend... Anyway, I hear the weight drops off you with low carb diets so I want to do that, but I find it hard to get over 1200 calories. I have decided to follow Kris Gethin's fat loss program for workout, but can not come up with a diet, I have come up with this so far:

    3 egg omelette
    25g cheese
    25g whey prtein
    200ml 1% milk

    mixed salad
    100g potato
    140g chicken breast

    140g extra lean mince beef
    80g spaghetti

post workout shake/bedtime shake (depends if i workout)
    50g wheyt protein
    250ml 1% milk

    Totals: 1300 calories, 72g carbs, 39g fat, 167g protein.

Is this good? I want to get to about 8% body fat!
    I got 99 problems, but a bench ain't one.

low carb just means you lose water on a "diet", not much real fat.... Calculate your calorie needs (that your body uses on its own, without exercise), and subtract about 500 calories..... eat that much a day..... go back to lifting, surely you can get to the gym 2-3 times a week, and do full body..... And try and get some "cardio" work in as well..... You can bump up the carbs, and if you are working out, you can probably eat a bit more than your basic calorie needs -500 cal......

Oh and drink lots of water..... try for a gallon a day..... with more carbs and water, you won't be tricked into thinking you lost fat when you just lost water instead (at least for the most part.....)

I intend to go back to lifting weights, 2 upper session and 2 lower sessions a week, with cardio at the end, plus my football training and game, my BMR is about 1700 calories, so should I eat around 1200?
