You have the right idea...get rid of the bread and soda. Lifting weights will help you drop fat much faster than only doing cardio. I lost 50lbs only weight lifting! Cardio was just too boring. I pretty much did a couple sets on each machine with 30 secs of rest between the sets. Was amazing to see the weight fall off just sticking to that and eating better.
Caprica, been meaning to ask you, what type of diet do you follow?

so i only dropped about 2 lbs this week on this crazy week of psmf diet (900-1000 cals/day), but i definitely look and feel noticeably leaner than just a 2lb loss. so that kind of makes me think that (1) i'm leaner than i realized, and (2) i lost more than 2lbs fat but am retaining some water. going to continue psmf for until thursday as planned but probably will jump up to about 2000 cals/day when i get back from vacation next monday and see how that goes. only have about 6 more lbs to lose now until the bulk begins, so i'm willing to tinker with things a little bit since i'm not in a huge rush to drop the weight.

Haven't checked in since I pre registered for the competition.
I'm down to 201.4 from my starting weight of 207 as of two weeks ago.
Going to update more frequently instead of being lazy like I've been and using being busy as an excuse.
Hoping to finally get under 200 by next week.Only Those Who Risk Going Too Far Can Possibly Find Out How Far One Can Go

Official Tournament Announcement
Sup guys. So, it looks like we lost a lot of people this week. Before I get to the number, could you just please check to make sure I didn't accidentally remove you from the list. Like I had mentioned before, I rewrote this spreadsheet to make it faster, but I forgot to include a way to keep track of who submits each week and who doesn't. Basically, I need to know who not to remove. (By the way, by reprogramming this spreadsheet, it had ZERO effect on speedability within google.docs#. I'm actually upset at Google for having such poor programming on such a wonderful idea).
Anyways, we lost 32 people. Yep, that's right. 32 of you dropped out. We have 47 left. Already, we have had a 50% drop rate. For the rest of you that are still here, if you make it to the end, it will take a miracle. This, I challenge you.
Prove me wrong on my less than the top 10% will survive this competition.
So, a big round of applause this week for our top 3:
1) Brentten with 14lbs lost so far.
2) KidGloves close behind with an 11 lb lost.
3) deebee83 with a 9 lb loss.
Still anyone's game! Have a good night guys.

I hope Krete's a little generous with me here as it's still Sunday where I'm at. I wasn't aware of your time zone until just now, and I just sent the PM ten minutes ago.

I realize, but I was talking more about water weight than actual weight. Even though I stay within a hundred or so of my goals on weekends, almost all of the calories comes from carbs, so im sure I hold on to a bit of water. If I weigh myself on Friday then again on Tuesday there's usually close to a 4 pound gap.
Plus perhaps forcefully limiting my carbs will make me stop eating and drinking all that pizza and beer? Hah.December 2011: 315lbs | January 2014: 249lbs | October 2014: 193lbs
Loss to date: 122lbs
Goal: Cut ~30lbs, then slow bulk with cut cycles when needed until 200lbs 12% bf.
