That guy was interesting when he first started posting all of the old pictures of his equipment. Then it got old, really old. If i recall he wouldn't even discuss anything about the machines except for how they were the "Greatest". I've never used or seen any of those in person but all I kept thinking to myself was that they were some of the most unaesthetic contraptions I've ever seen.

Yep & the Cardinal's mascot (any of their teams) has the beak painted yellow. It's red, always red!
Another piece of trivia, after hurricane Katrina, there were no cardinals in New Orleans. Flooding & other factors brought in vermin that then attracted predatory birds. That, along with a lot of the bushed areas being destroyed forced them from the city. I don't know if they have migrated back yet.
That's a good shot of the male btw.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59
Lifts no one cares about:
SQ: 619x1 (suit bottoms, no belt) / 507x1 (raw, no belt)
BP: 392x1 (pause bench, raw)
DL: 500x1 (suit bottoms, no belt)

Yeah, I showed that shot to my daughter earlier this evening and she was surprised that they had red beaks. I guess she got accustomed to seeing the football team mascot.

Beautiful pic, as usual.
What camera do you use? My wife has a Canon, I think it is a T5i. She has a lens that does not have image stabilization, and it is driving us both crazy because we mostly take pics of birds that come to our feeders. I want to find a good lens for Christmas.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #29 []---[]

I'm still using my Sony NEX-7. It does not have in-body stabilization. The lens that I was using has excellent stabilization, but I'm pretty sure that it was turned off for that shot. (When using a tripod, the recommendation is to turn off stabilization.)
One of the other problems I have when shooting wildlife is to remember to increase the shutter speed. For the shots that I took yesterday, I did something that I rarely do - put the camera in shutter priority (S) mode. I set the shutter speed to 1/200 sec and let the aperture and ISO vary as needed for a correct exposure.
I have a bunch of lenses for the various Sony mounts. I'm still waiting for Sony to release a replacement for the NEX-7. There are rumors that it'll be out sometime this summer. (But then there were rumors that it'd be out at various other times in the past too.)▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel we're due for a shoe thread about now?
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I'm gonna do a review thread. But I need more experience with the shoes in order to do a proper review.
I plan to review the SOM SP-L3. SOM is a small shoe company - they only have five employees at the moment. SOM is based in Colorado. They manufacture their shoes by hand, so their shoes really are "Made in the USA". In addition to being assembled in the USA, they also attempt to source as much of the material that go into their construction as close to home as possible.
The SP-L3 is a minimalist sneaker. It is widest at the toes and is a zero drop shoe, i.e, the heel is a the same level as the toe.
Here's a photo of my yellow SP-L3s:
I also have a black pair that they sent me when I told them about a small rip in toe area of my red ones. Here's one of the black ones next to the Altra Superior 1.5s that I've been wearing a lot too:
I have a red pair too, but I don't have a good photo of them yet. I was having them (re)soled with Five Ten Stealth C4 last week when I was taking photos. Here's a photo of them (w/ new rubber) in action:

KBKB,
Have you ever tried Russel Moccasin Co's Thula Thula boots?

I used to hang with some old SA and Rhodesian vets who swore by them.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #53 ▪█─────█▪

Not yet. I've been thinking about trying these:
http://www.russellmoccasin.com/minimalist-thula-thula/
They require foot tracings and custom build the shoes for your feet. It takes five to six months to get them.
I'm going to hold off on ordering a pair for a while yet. My feet are still adapting to the wider toe box(es) of my present shoes. Once I think things have stabilized, I'll probably order a pair.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

I suppose you could top that. . . An American flag on a South African brand, made in China?
I would totally go for made in the USA shoes with a similar pattern. I bought them on impulse to have something to show off with the belt, though I do use them in the gym--only in the gym.You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

What are you guys using to wipe down/clean up your equipment, benches, etc? An off the shelf product or home brew/proprietary blend?
