How are the sights?
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Cannes is an interesting place to say the least. First morning I was up at 5:00 AM and out for a walk. I was expecting to see a lot of people out exercising, but other than one young lady jogging all I saw was leftovers from the night before. Some were still sitting on the sidewalks drink in hand, others were passed out, while some were trying to walk (and not being that successful). There was broken glass and trash everywhere.
I was following one young lady at about 50 yards. As I turned a curve into a park she was out of site. As I turned the next curve, I startled her while she squatted urinating on the ground. She laughed, stood and pulled up her panties smiling all the while.
Less than 10 minutes later, I'm passing the Carlton Hotel and in the median there is a guy urinating on a tree. He is standing about 3ft from the tree so his genitals are clearly visible to everyone. While this was occurring a cop car passed slowly and the cop turned to look at the guy, but never stopped his car.
Another block, in front of the Cartier store, there is a guy sleeping on the ground. I had just passed him, maybe 10 or so feet when I herd something and turned to see a woman pouring a bottle of water on his head. I don't understand French, but she appeared to be cursing him.
I returned to the room and around 7:00 I was back down on the street with my wife. All of the broken glass and trash was gone. All but one or two of the leftovers from the night before were gone, and there were quite a few people out for their morning walks or jogging. It was like a totally different place in a matter of hours.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

Happy bday buff. You're only as old as you feel. I feel younger now than I did 4 years ago when I was smoking and drinking all the time. I also weighed 40 more pounds.

The trip actually ends the day after tomorrow. I should be back home as the weekend starts assuming the airline strike doesn't affect my flight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I'm guessing I'll spend the better part of the day in the airport and still may not end up on a flight.

Just finished my back day, got 352 for 3 on deadlift, sort of......I don't think any of the subsequent reps actually made it the entire way to the ground, so I guess it was really a single with a couple of half-reps thrown in for good measure!

Happy bday buff. Thanks for not posting in the buff .
Almost done. 2 down 3 left! Finished right before it started to rain. Ground isnt too hard so that helps. The last little bit with the post hole digger isnt easy. But I want the posts at the same height so .▪█───────█▪ Equipment Crew #46 ▪█───────█▪

Traveling is so bad for my diet. Today I had a bison cheeseburger topped with brisket and BBQ sauce, with a side of chili cheese fries.

I had honestly never had brisket until last fall.... I went cabrewing and we ate dinner at a smoke house restaurant. I ordered an appetizer called "bacon wrapped burnt ends"... basically the "burnt ends" of the brisket wrapped in bacon. Well, not "basically"... that was exactly what they were.
It took me about 8 minutes to eat them all.... during that time the din of the restaurant's customers, my friend's drunken shenanigans, and yea even time itself stood still for that brief window. I saw nothing, I heard nothing, and there was nothing....except the exquisite and beautiful conglomeration of tastes that were playing a symphony for my untrained nor sophisticated palate.
I may have spent the day in the garage without any adult's guarding the beer fridge....▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

My neighbor made the best brisket ever....I asked him what he did, but I forgot what he told me. He didn't do much to it, just a dry rub and then 4 hours over low, indirect heat. I'm actually finishing breakfast as I type this, and I am getting hungry again just thinking about this guy's brisket.
