Isn't it weird that pirates would go out to shore looking for buried treasure but the real treasure was in the friendships they were making?

I've never tried this, but it seems logical to me so I'll put it out there. Try putting the rubber cupboard door stops on the rims of your plates to lessen the plates clanging against each other. They would be easy enough to remove, small enough to not really notice, inexpensive, and should stop the plates from touching one another during impact if spaced out evenly.

That is some awesome frame work. I like the part where it stands true and plumb.

Next time you want to do some GPP training, don't mess about with a tire. Just destroy a sofa with nothing but a stanley knife and a nice selection of blunt force/pry tools;
!!!CARNAGE!!!
The stanley fubar you can see buried, and the mini 4lb sledge are quite new toys, so I wanted to get the measure of them. They both performed well under pressure. The fubar in particular was great for twisting the wood off and smashing it off the staples (of which there were thousands). My training log:

I'm not sure why, but this is a really cool picture; thanks for sharing. I'd like to get up there someday, its not all that far for me.
Checking in guys....I have been deloading for about 3 weeks . I'm ready to get back to it, I'd like to lose about 30lbs in the next few months. I'm not sure how much, I'll know it when I get there and I'm less interested in the scale than I am the way I feel/look. Anyway.....time to hit the exercise a bit harder and lay down the potato chips. I'm not going to even pretend that is not going to be tough.....
Oh...it seems someone liked being on timeout....what happened this time, did I miss something? That is funny.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

I hadn't even noticed that he was banned again. I don't see anything objectionable in the one post he made (and which is still viewable) since being unbanned. Perhaps he made some other post that was so egregious that it not only got him banned, but the post was deleted as well?

In what seemed like an act of defiance he posted up another link up to his site. The post got deleted. Some people don't learn.

Story of my life; always a day late and a dollar short. lol
I think it was mentioned in the thread that they believe a concrete slab would make it a permanent structure and thus require permits.
Just had to post a couple more pics posted through out the original 21 page thread.

If a strong wind doesn't blow it over first, the foundation will rot out from underneath it.

Funnily enough I just built a shed. Looks a lot better than that one. Don't have pictures yet though since its still in paint.
The barn in that background is the last building I built:

All the guy had to do with that timber shed was build it on piles of concrete slabs to bring it off the ground. Because they are just paving slabs they wouldnt be considered permenant, and it would give him a stable base to work off. I'm pretty sure that timber isnt treated either, so rot is going to be a major issue for thim. Uber fail.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Because a permit adds so much to the overall cost! I'm sure the real reason is that the inspectors would actually make him build it correctly....of course the reason we have building inspectors can be found in these pictures!
I'm not a big fan of increasing government powers.....but sometimes bureaucracy is the right way to go .
I never thought of having the doors and windows share a common frame. This is genius......really this dude brings a lot of good ideas to the table. I started to read that thread you linked us to, but its gone epic and I haven't had the time.
Building things is fun, but you have to either know what you're doing....or be patient enough to learn as you go. I have built a pretty good size shed (12x20 with an 8' porch) and I'm still working on my deck (phase 2 beginning soon). There is a lot of stuff I have learned on the way that would've been easy to screw up if I hadn't had a good coach (a guy I work with that used to build houses for a living and now roofs when not at the firehouse). It is fun though and rewarding when you're done........unless you end up with something like the shed above .▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

I have no shed building experience. This is a shed I copied from one I saw in a lowes parking lot. I took measurements and made a supply list.

Thats a good looking shed Steven, nicely built. When I move ino my next house I'm still undecided on whet to make my gym. Timber framed building, shipping continer, brickbuilt garage extension are all possibles I'm considering.
