Single prong. I find double prong disturbing for some reason. Thickness is less relevant.
I'm talking about belts. . . . .

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I have a 10mm single-prong Inzer Forever belt. The 10mm belt is very stiff; I'm glad I didn't get a thicker one.
I had read that the single prong belts were easier to buckle and unbuckle, so that's what I got. I have a very old double prong belt that's also a good deal less thick that I used to use when I first started lifting. I do recall that I needed to pay extra attention to getting both prongs in their respective holes when putting it on.
Here's a photo that I took of the Inzer belt a while back...

I have that exact same belt, love it and I'll always recommend it!
Thanks dude, I'll try to post pics as it's being built. I'll probably just post them in this thread though I don't usually start new threads unless I'm doing an all out equipment review lol.
@Keet, damn dude sick frikkin plates you scored there!!! I guess I should have figured being gone so long some things will never change around here lol...[]---[] Equipment Crew #30 []---[]

Simple Beginners routine it is. Only thing that puzzles me is how many sets for each exercise. The thread makes it seem like 4 for the big lifts then only 2 for the lesser stuff and of the 4 2 are to be work sets.

Damn, I've been so busy since I went back to work I haven't been posting. Still lifting in the garage, but haven't been to the gym in a few weeks.
I have a couple more weeks coming up in November, trying to line up some deer hunting with my Dad. If I can get away from the house for a few days, we may go to his buddies place way up north (in the Upper Peninsula). If not, he has some hunting spots near his place- still an hour from me, but not too far."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

You actually understand it more than you realize....you just don't know why. The first few exercises in the routine you are supposed to do 4 sets, with the first 2 set quite a bit lighter for warmup. The 3rd and 4th set are working sets at whatever weight you've figured according to the plan. I forget which exercise is the point where you go to 2 sets, but yes....at that point you only do the 2 working sets with the heavier weight. At this point, the auther felt that you would already have "warmed" the appropriate muscles with all the other work, so warm up sets are unnecessary.
If you read through the threads on the SBR, you'll start to figure it out pretty quick, it isn't that hard.....although there are a lot of posters in the thread that try to make it so.
Ok....on my plates.....thanks for the kind words and sorry I forgot the "NSFW" tag! I picked those up near Cleveland on Sunday night. There's a physical therapist that is liquidizing his shop so he can go work for someone else. He's got a lot of cool stuff, but most of it is machines. The only problem is that while he is giving discounts....he isn't giving typical "keetman" discounts....so I couldn't do much while I was there. In fact, when I walked in there was a bar on the floor and I asked him how much.....he said I think its and Ivanko and I want $200 for it. It was no Ivanko, it was pretty used, and it might have had a slight bend in it. It was a nice bar...not a cheap one, but it was no $200...maybe $50-70 tops....if you wanted and didn't have a nice bar. Set the negotiating off to a bad start!
Anyway, after all was said and done...... I walked away with the 352lbs/160kg of sweet Ivanko calibrated bumpers, a 12-20" plyo box, 14 medicine balls (with stands), 140lbs of heavy lifting chain, 7 pairs of bands (with some handles and straps for binding them), and 2 nice office stools....all for $1250. I took a buddy with me who got half the medicine balls, half the chain, and the bands. So, I got a nice set of med balls, chains, plyo box, stools, and the bumpers for $1020. and my buddy bought us dinner and some beers at BW3's!
I'm not even gonna lie....this was somewhat of a "f-it, I'm getting it purchase". I don't really need a whole set of bumpers and I don't need calibrated ones.....but since I already have only revolvers in the gym and I have kind of wanted a set of bumpers....these seemed like a beautiful fit.
I'm in the process of cleaning them now, the pic of the first one showed one that I'd already cleaned. They were pretty filthy and the black lettering was wearing, so I'm scouring them and just taking the lettering color off. I don't know if these are prone to collecting filth or not, but they are a bitch to clean.
Here's some pics, but once I get them all cleaned up I'll get another up:
All of the bumpers-
Contrast after cleaning-
Chains on the Cage-
Medicine Balls & Rack-
One of the stools and plyo box-

Keetman, good looking equipment, you're at the point with your gym that you need to be selective on what you get. IMO, that's a great place to be.

Thats a great pickup Keet, great set of chains, and that plyobox looks well built. The chains look so sweet against the green ivankos.

First you post some NSFW amateur Ivanko pr0n. Then you post a pic of your balls. What have we come to?
The cleaned up bumpers look great. Why not repaint the letters and numbers? You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Thanks for the comments guys.
@irongrandpa.... Yea, I can be selective and there's not as much room to upgrade. It is special when I find something now though, because if I'm wanting to trade at this point.....its probably really neat. I have to say though, I miss the days when I was constantly moving things in and out...... its like anything else, the journey is often as fun as the destination!
@protein..... that plyo box probably weighs 30lbs or more. I made the deal for it before I drove there, so I was pleasantly surprised at its quality. The guy really had some nice stuff...obviously!
Sorry about the ball shot.....although, I'm curious that you weren't really bothered by the pic of my stool........
I have thought about painting the lettering. I'm not sure I will though. For one thing, I'm not sure of the proper way to do it or what kind of paint to use....screwing it up would be a step backward as I think they look pretty good without painting the lettering. The second problem is that even with the factory paint, the letters wore off....and getting the paint remnants off of the symbols was the hardest part of the cleaning job.....I'd rather not have to redo it all the time.
I'm also a bit nervous that these plates are going to be hard to keep clean.....especially the yellow ones. They seen to show every bit of grime....even finger prints from casual handling.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #4 ▪█─────█▪

IMHO I'd leave them without painting the lettering, I honestly think it's a really nice 'clean' look on those yellow plates you finished, I'm actually really impressed. And those chains are badass dude! Those are some serious powerlifting-gym style chains you got going on now.

Squats, light bench, few sets of pullups done.
Those bumpers are awesome, Keetman.
I'd get a single prong or a lever belt now, but since I've already got a double prong I'll stick with it till I need to replace it.
I'm honestly surprised that the Tigers are up 3 games. They didn't play very well until the end of the season, when there were about 10 games left I didn't know that they would make the playoffs. I can't understand the Yankee's batting- all of the "producers" aren't doing anything, while Ibanez is looking like a hero. I can't believe that Jeter broke his ankle, I hated seeing that. Then guys like A-rod, Swisher, and Granderson are sitting games or getting pinch hit for? It's almost amazing to me.
I'm not sure what it's doing in Detroit right now, but it's been raining here almost all night- hope they get the game in today."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

LoL.......I'm on my phone, so I can't see the whole context of what was going on there, but i'm pretty sure by "home gym" I meant "all in one-do everything machine", which is what the ultimate Smith 2 was. Even then I was a gear collecting slut,, so i'm almost certain my definition of home gym is the only thing that's really changed.

Wow. That was a pretty embarrassing postseason for the Yanks. Lowest batting average in history for a single postseason. Yikes.
I do think ARod is being treated as a scapegoat. He wasn't hitting, but neither was anyone else. I predict that Girardi gets fired. We'll see. The Steinbrenner kids don't seem to be as quick with the hook as the old man was.
They definitely need to make some changes. Spending a ton of money on older players has to stop. I see teams like Oakland building through their farm. Other teams like Texas and Detroit bring up players and sign the right free agents.
