How bad is it to seem "desperate"?

I know its bad but how bad? Can it ever be "cute"?

I feel like i have to go for a hail mary and just say FUDGE IT!

I texted a girl a couple weeks ago asking to hang out that weekend if she wasnt out of town, AFTER i had initially asked her and she said she would let me know. We texted a bit about sports n chit and i didnt get the vibe that she was really into me(maybe cos we only talked a little on a couple of occasions?) The end of that text was her saying she was out of town and she will be next week as well but maybe the week after.

Now the dumb and dumber side of me(holding on to any possible chance,even 1 in a million) is thinking she could have just said she was gonna be out of town and not added the maybe part....either way i feel like shes probably not into me...i havent texted her since then but i also feel like i gotta give it one last shot....idk why but i really like this girl and have completely stepped out of my comfort zone with this chit.

If i make plans with my buddy this weekend at chill at a bar should i send her a quick text saying if shes free to come by?

Why not talk to someone in real life. Ask them out in their FACE.

It is almost like a respect and honor thing. Girls respect guys that have confidence and they can smell a metaphorical pussy a mile away. Texting is the last method I would use to ask a girl out, and the first would be to look her dead in the eye without a smile on and tell her you want to take her on a dat. Don't ask, tell her.

Also this is another girl. There are a million guys like you and a million girls like her, if things don't workout there will be another. It will only workout when you learn how to deal with this type of thing.

The only ones I take seriously are the ones who do the face to face thing.

It depends on how interested she is. A woman who is genuinely interested in a man will never find him desperate. Unless he calls or texts her incessantly, a dozen times a day. Then you're just encroaching on personal space.

First of all i like bugging u guys...it gives me some insight and relieves boredom at work.

I know shes just another girl but some girls give me a lot stronger feelings than others....its kinda weird to explain. If i didnt like her like this i would just have left it.

And i would ask her out face to face but i never see her...this is what im trying to change so that i can ask her out for dinner or something in person.
