You can get nicotine without the tobacco if you want to lose fat. I tried the patch a few years ago, but it just made me feel sick. Oh well. I guess I'll have to lose fat the old fashioned way.
Congrats OP. I have so many friends who've quit smoking, sometimes just for a little while. It takes strength to quit tobacco and stick with it over the years.

Congrats!
I was 2 packs a day for 29 years. This September 30th will be 10 years clean for me. Don't miss 'em at all now.*Official Misc Photography Crew *

Good choice Backer and congrats on staying away from it!
I'm tabaco free now for 8 years now. Started smoking when I was twelve.
Smoking wasn't so hard to quit once I put my mind to it...... it was the dip that was the hardest. I still have dreams from time to time that I put a big ole dip in my lip and then feel shame Very vivid dreams..., I can taste it, smell it, down to the very texture! I wake up thanking God it's just a dream. That **** was hard as hell to give up!

Quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for your health
The smoke and the tars = lung cancer----the nicotine=heart problems
Next best thing is diet ( unless you are somebody whose genetics let them eat anything with no diabetes or heart worries)and exercise ( unless you are somebody whose genetics lets them be a lump with no problems )
But even you if are genetically blessed exercise and diet makes you look better unless you don't care less what the mirror revealsLast edited by uncbob; 09-23-2012 at 05:27 AM.
