Hang Clean: 5x135, 3x190, 1x215, 2x1 @ 245, 2x1 @ 270 (missed both)
Really disappointed that I missed these lifts… I can make excuses about (poor sleep, heavy drinking this weekend, etc) but what it really came down to is that my pull got a bit away from my body on both of these reps. Despite having a good height to them at being able to drop underneath the weight, I wasn’t able to get a good catch. I need to really practice keeping the pull section of my cleans in tight to my body and allow my elbows to track high (and also get confident catching the bar in a deeper squat). I hit 265 just 3 days before with relative confidence, so I know I have this one… Hopefully I get another stab at it soon.
Back Squats: 5x225, 3x275, 3x5 @ 305 – deep and strong!
RFE Split Squat (DBs) 3x10e supersetted with Face Pulls 3x12
Bummed about the clean (especially because I'm leaving this week and won't get a chance to work up to a heavy clean again for a few weeks), but happy I hit my squats.Began training: 09/2010
