legs are lacking a bit, could use some advice on how to improve them

Probably because its a pulling movement, but I DL on my leg days after squatting.
OP, I had the most noticeable gains for my calves when I started to work them lower weight/high rep sets and some days would throw in lots of sets of higher weight/lower reps (I did 15-25 reps when I went light and 8-10 when I went heavier) and try for full ROM.
