Minuscule reps given. Hopefully this can educate some of the fad dieters. Or turn others on to correctly losing weight.
I wish we could get videos like this broadcasted on tv."The hardship of the exercises is intended less to strengthen the back than to toughen the mind. The Spartans say that any army may win while it still has it's legs under it; the real test comes when all strength has fled and the men must produce victory on will alone." (Pressfield,1998, p.78)

Mainstream nutrition science doesn't sell in the media, it will never happen. There is no money to be made, no extreme methods to try, or supplements to sell, no books to sale and people want to be told their fat is due to foods being produced, not their own fault. However those of us in the fitness and bodybuilding world should be immune to this nonsense but sadly it seems that is not always the case.
The media will give the public want it wants... quacks, extremists and fad diets with hopes of a quick fix to a long term lifestyle problem. They don't want to see math and biology.

LoL I said that due to real life experience trying to help people with their nutrition who asked for my help. One of my closest friends, asked me to help him get into "amzing shape" he didn't mind lifting hard but said tracking his calories was too difficult and too much work... I stopped helping him before long other than just with his training. There is nothing you can do nutritionally for someone unwilling to do something as simplistic as add up their calories for the day.

Absolutely! Enjoy your bread and anything else you love... in moderation. Make sure you are tracking everything accurately and your weight loss will be determined by your caloric deficit. The rule to remember for losing body fat, and maintaining your sanity and emotional health... as after all we are hard wired to take pleasure from our eating... is that you can have anything you want to eat while losing fat... you just can't have as much of it as you might want.
A bit of a trick I use when cutting and eating my favourite treat foods, like pizza, eat it insanely slowly and savour it. If I get an 800 calorie microwave pizza I get one smalle slice at a time and cut the pizza up into at least 6 slices and eat it in another room from the kitchen. I put only one slice on the plate at a time and sit down and do something I enjoy online or a video game or watching a show. I take a depth breath of the smell before taking my first bite, take one bite, and set the slice down, chew it and just savour the flavor while chewing slowly. Take a sip of diet soda... pick the slice back up, take another bite the same way, set it back down, continue enjoying whatever I am doing, repeat. Once the slice is gone I wait a couple minutes before going for the next one. This way you get the taste and emotional satisfaction of eating pizza for 30-40 minutes straight (which is what I would be doing at a buffet if fulking), while drawing out the experience, but end up eating only 700 or 800 calories.
