How embarrassing/hard is working at Chipotle? Need serious advice about jobs...

Been unemployed and been looking for a job. Really don't know what I want, and I have bad job history.

Job fair at chipotle. Almost started to walk out because I felt like I could do better and kind of having doubts about the job.
Manager walks over as I'm contemplating and he interviews me. Says he's impressed, because out of like 600ish people most don't do research and know about the company.

Says it's fast paced etc. Tells me he's impressed and to watch for follow up emails.

I'm just having mixed feelings. I need a job, but at the same time I don't even know what I want. I'm kind of demotivated, because I feel like I will never be satisfied. I seem to always complain or find something bad about a job, but then I look at my friends and they put up with theirs and talk about how they like theirs. (They still complain sometimes too)

I just hate seeing myself as a quitter. But don't know how to approach.
Do people legitimately like their job and it helps them stay longer, or are they just determined to stay?

Seems like I'm lacking something...maybe work ethic or motivation?

Few people really like to work. Working is about one thing only, money. Do you still live with your parents? Putting food on your table and having things of your own should be some motivation...

Yes I just turned 20. I like having my own money and being able to buy things without relying on help from my mom. Should be enough motivation, but idk something isn't right.

I WANT to work and need money, but for some reason I'm extremely picky. Then I feel like I "settle" for a job, and instead of sticking it out, always end up leaving some how. I just want to be dedicated. I'm dedicated about other things, but this is a big issue for me. I don't want to repeat history, because my job history already sucks.

I'm started to believe it's because of my work ethic. I've always been good in school, etc, but I'm also lazy as phuck and as soon as I feel an obstacle or possible hard work I complain and don't want to do chit. Hate acting like a phaggot like this :/

That's the thing. I know physically the job isn't too demanding. I just know it can get hectic.
I'm sitting here thinking to myself, like "what's the big deal" you're cooking a little bit of food in a small kitchen or there might be a bunch of customers. Seems like I shouldn't even be making a big deal, because it's not really strenuous or tiring, just busy work, but for some reason I feel like I would get frustrated and be like "PHuck all you customers, and phuck this burrito chit"

Fast paced work is always better in my opinion because time goes fast. It's not embarrassing at least you have a job. That's more than the couple million Un employed can say. It's temporary maybe beneficial as far as stability and moving up?

So much this. I work in an office and pretty much Misc for 8 hours. It sounds pretty cool at first but it gets old really fast. My 8 hour work days feel like 12 hours and by the time I get home I'm so zombied out I dont feel like doing anything. If it wasn't for the paycheck i'd quit right now.

everyone there always seems SUPER friendly.....I am positive it is part of their training

maybe theyll stick miserable OP out back cooking

doesnt seem like it would be a bad gig.....either cooking out back or up front...they only have limited options and the whole idea is that people tell you exactly what they want

I say do it....I would do it at 28 if I was unemployed

and if its fast-paced then your day will be over before you know it....better than it DRAGGING for 8 hours...(I worked in a library once and it was hell)

Chipotle was my first job out of HS. I was a line Server in Beverly Hills and it was actually a good working experience. It is fast-paced but once you get the hang of it, you'll do just fine. The tips were great too. Just do it until you find something better.

every chipotle in my area (orlando) is ALWAYS ****ing packed,(20 people in line) the people working always seem so pissed off to have to make and deal with all the bs of people " I SAID LITTLE LETTUCE, AND NO CORN, YOU KNOW WHAT MAKE ME A NEW ONE"

and sometimes if they're super packed they can get skimpy on the meat/rice, or they can give you a ton of they're in a rush lolwut

Seems like a decent company compared to other fast food and I think most of the stores are individually owned, if they pay better than minimum wage then it is a decent job until you figure out what you want to do.

You sound like a whiny bitch. So, do Chipotle a favor and don't even apply. To work at Chipotle one must be a TOP PERFORMER! Someone who is empowered to achieve high standards. You BUST YOUR ASS every single day, no matter what. You're constantly lifting heavy boxes (50+ lbs.) As for cooking a little bit of food? We go through at least 160 pounds of chicken a day. And every bit of food you eat like it was no big deal to cook, is cooked CONVENTIONALLY. We don't use freezers, microwaves. We have a grill and stove top. We hand-mash your precious guacamole every day, twice a day. That's hundreds of avocados hand scooped. We do everything by hand, and we're damn proud of it. We don't just get our food in plastic bags ready to go. I would like to see you try a week at Chipotle and then tell me it's not strenuous, and people just make a big deal out of it. It takes a special kind of person to work in the fast-casual market. We are trying to bring you naturally raised, organic, wholesome food, with a damn smile on our faces. Ungrateful ****s like you is the only thing ****ty about this job, and that only comes with any customer service job. Working at Chipotle is NOT an embarrassment. Lazy *******s like you is what is embarrassing. You get paid starting out above minimum wage plus tips. There's so much room for opportunity in one of the fastest growing restaurants in the country. I couldn't be more proud of my job, and YOU don't even have a job, I make $16 an hour, and what do you make? Not ****.
