To turn a long story into a short one, I have bursitis in my shoulder and have taken almost a week off from all chest/shoulder and even some back exercises. How long will it take before it's completely healed again?

Bursitis is not an injury as such. It is the result of repeated impingement, that is, being pinched.
It should settle within a weak with anti-inflammatory medication and ice, but is likely to recur if the source of the impingement is not identified and corrected.The science is out there!
