Saw this happen today at the gym...guy was deadlifting...alternating grip...the supinated arm tendon went...scared the **** outta me seeing it...
His bicep like balled up n shot to his shoulder
Is the main excersise a deadlift that that causes this...or could curling with heavy weight also cause it and is there any way to help prevent this...seriously freaked me out n I dont wanna DL heavy anymore...or is.more of a one in a million...

using a mixed grip with one supinated hand puts your bicep in a bad position, the bicep will instinctively try to raise the weight
any bicep exercise could cause it if you are going too heavy..i strained my bicep a few weeks ago curling heavy...i read about people with bicep tendon tears and the recovery times are sick if you have surgery..not worth it to curl heavy IMO
