The advantages of 7% body fat

I am 12.6% body and am wondering whether its worth getting to 7% body fat. To get to 7% I would have to lose 8 pounds of fat. I heard that six pack abs usually come between 7-12% body fat depending on the size of your abs and where your body stores fat. Is this true? Are there any other changes I should expect? e.g. bicep/shoulder vascularisation.

Worth it? my friend it depends on what your goals are... i think its safe to say that people can be perfectly happy with their physique at 12%... it all depends on how you envision yourself. do you want to be "the best that you can be" as they say?
What you can expect is more definition, a "tighter" look so to speak. I've known people with 12% with good abdominal definition and I've seen people with 12% that have minimal ab definition - it has a lot to do with genetics.

    My recommendation:
    1. Post pictures, would be a lot easier to give an opinion.
    2. Try. dont like it/ too hard to maintain its pretty easy to gain it back...

    Hope it helps. Good luck!

I personally don't see the point of single digit bodyfat unless you're competing.

You may be underestimating your current bodyfat percentage which is leading you to believe you need to go to 7%. Post a pic.

    from personal experience:

10-13% bf higher energy levels, no hunger, good mood, normal sex drive, mental focus
lower...less energy levels, usually hungry, moody, when in a deficit very low sex drive, can only think about food
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?
