Do I have a "right" to know where my gf is at?

My ex Gf went out once a week when I was with her and I worked nights. Not a single **** was given.

The fact you think I'm insecure because I dont feel insecure when my girlfriends go out is pretty laughable.

How is she being conniving wanting to go out and party. Wanting to party isnt wrong or right, there is no relationship right or wrong list we each have our set of rules ingrained In our head, a happy relationship is one you find someone with similair ingrained rules/ understandings.

Agree with this 100%. If somebody is so insecure to think other guys care that much about their gfs going out w/ their friends then you have some issues. Even if I sat at home while my gf would go out I wouldn't be texting her or worrying about her when she came back bc I KNOW she would come back. I'd watch tv and go to sleep when I was tired. She's out with her friends, not some random ass dude she met yesterday. And if she did do that then peace out.

Just last weekend I was at a club and two sloots were flirting and asking me to lap dance for them (course I did haha), and the one that had her hands on me the most had a boyfriend that was picking her up. I lol'd about it and told her that the boyfriend was a "beta *******" (srs) and her friend and I laughed our drunken asses off about it. The sloot then says "I don't care, he's not here"...yes very srs and real life sloot just as the women arguing against the logic of this thread

Are you speaking of the girl at the club? If so, then no, of course not 1=all. As much as it sounds like I don't trust the entire female species, it's not true. I know there is good girls out there, but those good girls wouldn't put themselves in bad situations just the same. So maybe if I rephrase, 1 "taken" bar sloot=all that I have seen in my experience. I used to work in a nightclub as security years ago and saw this crap ALL THE TIME. I don't think that all women that go to bars are sloots, but I think that all women who are in relationships that go to bars without their significant others are trash at best.

They have been married over 20 years and beat it into me from a young age that I should find a "good" girl. And I moved out because I was sick of them lecturing my lifestyle.

So my background was a massive fail well done.

I did it. We broke up. This constant battle of what was expected from a relationship between her and I just came to a tipping point over the last 24 hours. I won't say this thread was my motivation, but it definitely helped support me as this went down.


I feel like absolute ****. I still love her, but I knew I wasn't making her happy anymore, and this relationship has become more of a burden than something supportive in our lives. We had great chemistry when we were with each other, and for those times I regret how this ended. But I know I'll be ok in the long run, and hopefully look back without wishing I had tried harder.

it's not about you. you may go out with that mentality, but sometimes people get carried away or make one innocent decision with good intentions and end up in a bad situation. what if you went out and some guy started casual innocent conversation with you, and ended up being a creep and following you home, or sexually assaulting you? you may not have bad intentions but you're still going to be in a place filled with horny drunk guys looking to pick up girls, and if you're an attractive girl you are a sitting sheep in lion territory. regardless of whether or not you think you can "handle yourself", things could happen that might compromise your relationship. before i met my girl she's went out and literally had creep guys chase her around the club. if i found out that was going on and ended up seeing the guy later, i would most likely lose my cool and physically harm him. why would my girl want to put me in that situation? a girl who truly values her relationship wouldn't put herself, or me in that position IMO. but to each his/her own.
