Nice mass in those pics and plenty of definition Dru. Shoulders, chest and arms are really looking big. You'd look really cut if you dropped that 10lbs but you're doing so well on the lifting that you want to maintain or even do a mini-bulk to maximise your strength gains out of Starr. Save the cut for later

Thanks y'all. It's so slow. Sometimes seems like I'm not getting any where. Here's a couple pics for reference.
There are no shirtless pics of me skinny, so this blurry pic is about all I have. 145lbs 2006
2nd pic is about 15 months after I started. 187 in the pic, down from 194 right before starting a transformation contest. May 2011
Contest ended with this pic 166lbs water depleted, weighed 174 by end of that day if I recall. Aug 6th 2011.

Thanks y'all. ironically, if my math is right, I'm at about the same bodyfat (@ 1% diff I'd guess) now as in that pic. The main difference is that for the pic I did a full week of contest prep where I drank water and ate massive amounts of salt, then spent 3 days before pics drinking nothing, then right before pics creatine and a touch of water. It's amazing what a difference water balance makes (oh, and what a difference a spray on tan makes). The water loading is easy, but being dehydrated for 3 days blows. I think I'll just really slowly chip away at the 10lbs more of fat by staying right around maint. Maybe during a deload I'll cut, not sure.
Thanks y'all for the encouragement.B: 285

I had lifted a month here or there as early as middle school, but made no discernible progress. I started lifting seriously in Sept of 09. I was out of work and about to move into my inlaws house because I was out of work and going to rent my house out. I quit smoking, ate like a retard and did Starting Strength. My starting weights were:
Bench: 145
Squats:135
Deads: 185
After a year at the inlaws I was 196 and pretty fat so I did P90x. Then I rolled my own for a few months before starting the I Am Juggernaut contest which is the before and after pic above. Since then I've just done a variety of different programs. My deads have gone up huge, but my bench and squat really haven't done much. I've basically been re-comping this entire time and only have from Aug 2011 till present 10lbs of LBM to show for it. Probably got 7 lbs the first aug to aug, and 4 from that aug to today.
Without the pics it'd be mega discouraging, but there is a difference. Oh, and it helps my golf game.
TRT started 2nd week Dec of 2012 and all I've done since starting is lose weightB: 285

That's great progress for less than 2 years buddy. Didn't know you started TRT. I've been at it solid for 40 months, before that just screwing around in my early 20s with zero nutrition knowledge. The first 20 months of my transformation I basically ate at a deficit to drop the weight so no mass was built. The past 20 months I've probably put on a total of 10-12. I won't know for sure until I cut the fat again this year. I haven't been under 200 lbs. for over 6 months. Can't wait to be lean again.

Weird, I'm the opposite. I start to lean up, and yeah, I'm happy to lean up, but I can't wait to go on surplus again. I hate feeling small.
The TRT I didn't set out to do. I went to a wellness joint to get my shoulder looked at. Turned out it was bicep tendonitis at the shoulder. They had free screenings for test, so I did one. The result was 90 year old man levels. I would have retested, except my results the year prior were also low, not that low, but low. So, I did a bunch of research and decided to try it to see if it'd help me with all the naps I take and general lethargy. It definitely helps my mood and energy levels. I'm sure it's upped my metabolism because I'm losing at prior maintenance levels.
I wasn't going to mention here because some people seem to really hate on it, but decided honesty was the better route in case anyone questions my results. So far no one has griefed me, but it hasn't been that long either.B: 285

I guess I worded that wrong. I made it sound I was on TRT. I meant that I had been at my transformation for 40 months. Now that you mention being lethargic, I have been known to get very tired and needing naps a lot more lately. Maybe I should look into getting my levels tested? What were some other symptoms you had?

Dru I wouldn't worry about what others think about TRT. If its needed to bring the levels into the normal range I don't see what any issue would be. I had a normal exam which included a blood test. Thet tested my test also and my results suck. 256 was my number which makes sense because I have had the symptoms. If my insurance allows I'm going to start Testim. I really hope I feel better doing this and not a single fuk will be given to anyone who says anything about it to me. I hate having the feeling of tiredness all day and lack of motivation and energy. If I see other benefits from it all the better.

It can't hurt to have them tested. I was adding muscle fine without it. I nap most days, less now on TRT. Libido was never a huge issue. I'd think about sex every couple of days or so, but some dudes have said they never thought about it. Concentration, tired, semi-depressed were mostly what I had. On it is really hard to describe the difference. Mostly just more alert. When I wake up, I'm ready to go fk up the day, versus before I kinda dreaded it. Workouts are pretty much the same. Same doms, same energy in the gym, but unlike before, I have energy when I'm not lifting. In the end, tho I never set out to do it, I'm glad I did.
I definitely would say if you're low go for it. I have a kid who likes to wrestle, so creams were out for me. I go to a doc every 2 weeks now and she does the shots. I take 2 other things, one for shrinkage, one for moobs, reckon I can't say what they are. I'm now around 900ish which feels good. My insurance won't cover it sadly, so $55 each time. Honestly, I thought my issues were from training too much, not eating healthy enough and old age.B: 285

Dru you made great progress to gain 10lbs lean mass in a year and a half and your lifts are still going up, albeit slower than at the start, but that means you're still adding muscle. Realistically adding 7lbs of lean muscle a year is great progress and if you can manage that for a few more years you'll be huge
Great props for the bump in the Deads ... up by 2.5 x
FYI
Shrinkage drug is HCG .. (Human Chorianic gonadotropin) which has the same affect as LH .. (luteinising hormone) = stimulates the testes to keep producing natural testosterone. Shrinkage occurs when the pituitary senses the extra test and tries to shut down the native production
'Moobs' med is most likely an AI .. (aromatase inhibitor). Extra testosterone is converted by aromatase into oestrogen. We all need some oestrogen, but too much stimulates breast tissue to grow"Better to wear out than rust out!"

What Andrew Said HCG is a little shot 2x a week, once by the doc, once on my own. I was such a bish the 1st time. I hated needles and it took me 2 hours to work up to the 1st one. The latter Andrew mentioned I care for with anastrozole. It actually stops the body from making estrogen. There are different ones that are for after a "cycle" which are different. They don't stop the body from converting stuff into estrogen, they block the binding sites of estrogen, like tamoxifen citrate and a few others. Interestingly, most of the research into these things came as a part of cancer treatments, so, they're very, very well documented.
The thing @ trt is once you start, you're pretty much on. You could go off, but you'll be back at your prior crappy level, or, most likely worse. I had to accept that when I started. Hopefully my income will continue to support it. Anyway, drop me an email. Hopefully I can explain better. Cheers John.B: 285
