I am 23 years old and weigh 180 lbs, and am about 5'8''. I have been doing keto for about 3 weeks now, and constantly register moderate on the ketostix. I eat about +-2000 cals a day, of which are 144 grams of fat, 150 grams of protein, and about 25 grams of carbs. I do intermittent fasting with my a feeding window that ranges from 4-8 hours depending on the day and how I feel. I do a 4 day split with cardio afterward and cardio on nonlifting days and I rest once a week on sundays. I am feeling pretty good and can honestly say I love the keto diet and the selection of food I get to eat, plus with my feeding window being between 6-12am I like that I get to go to bed full. I would like to get down to 165 lbs, and am wondering whether I should carb cycle or not.
I have done research that says one shouldn't cycle until they get to below something like 15% body fat. I dont think I am there yet but I am wondering if maintaining a standard keto diet will be detrimental, or will I eventually be so fat adapted that my workouts get better?
