No I think you misunderstood me, which is probably the root of the conflict I imagine. My post was not to say anything about whether my own or anyone elses use is okay. I wasn't making any sort of judgement call on that.
The crux of my post was to address what seemed to be an argument to attack natural bodybuilding using my experience as the primary driving point. And I'm just not sure I fit the bill, that was what I was saying.
But nonetheless, you will have various levels of advantage or disadvantage across a field of competitors who may or may not have previous banned substance use. It's something the federations try to address by implementing their banned substance list with attached years drug free. It's the attempt to create as level of a playing field as possible.
If you think it's a fruitless attempt and laughable you are very welcome to your opinion.
And just my opinion, but I think you would probably garner more support of your views and agreement without personal attacks. Those tend to just polarize people against your viewpoint and gives them the ammunition to dismiss your arguments regardless of what you're saying.Last edited by Quelly; 10-01-2012 at 11:40 AM.

see above post, I realize that I have been going about this the wrong way. But yes, I do not think an even playing field is possible with the exception of requiring competitors to be lifelong natty
Maybe natural bb'ing should be renamed to Haven't used drugs in several years BB'ing, this would clear up a lot of the confusion

That would not bother me at all. It's kind of like (and let me take a moment to piss off a lot of power lifters here lol) the geared powerlifting records to me. I think the average person has no concept of what a bench shirt or squat suit is, so when a guy says "Yeah I benched 1000lbs in legal competition" their mind is blown and they may get false hope as to what is realistic....or worse look at their own accomlishments (which actually may be quite good raw) and feel discouraged.
I think transparency is the way to go, and some natural feds are better about this than others. While I don't think the ABA is perfect for example, one thing I do like, is that if you go their contest page that lists them all, each show has clearly stated the years drug free requirement on it. And they have a handful of shows that are required to be lifetime drug free as well, but most are 5 years.

I've only been banned for said talk once, and it was for telling a teen NOT to do it and going into vast detail. I've seen half a dozen people get banned in the Nut Misc for it that are not me.
Lettuce beef cereal... I've probably been banned more for pr0n or for showing my penor pics in the teen misc than for illegal substance talk.
