bikini comp prep diet and hypoglycemia

Just a quick question - Can competition prep diets CAUSE hypoglycemia?? I used to have hypoglycemia like 5 yrs ago .. it has been completely controlled with diet. And the last 2 yearly Dr visits I've had .. the blood tests showed no hypoglycemia anymore. So it's my assumption that, for me, it's gone. Well I just started getting into prepping/training for a bikini bodybuilding .. into 3 weeks now. So far so good .. but just curious .. can these diets bring back my hypoglycemia? Do I need to take extra precautions since I once had it?

If you are prone to it you should be monitoring it anyway I would have thought, so just start to prep and get checked etc to keep on top of it. Otherwise talk to your gp.

Don't have an answer about this for you, but who did you decide to work with for your prep?

If you struggle with hypoglycemia you should definitely be working with a prep coach who can help you troubleshoot those issues. I'd recommend Michael Keck (Keck Nutrition), Shelby Starnes, or PJ Braun.
