What's more, if you have a DS and a DS flash cart it's relatively easy to back up the save game from your GBA cartridge and restore it to another one, and do that for as many cartridges as you have, legitimately caught or not. The saves for the DS games can be backed up and restored too.

DS shiny pokemon are worthless, unless you have video proof. With the old ones its pretty easy to know if its hacked or not. When you sell a pokemon you sell your whole cartridge to avoid any speculation.

Getting one of these shiny pokemon is a 1/8192 chance. That means every time you encounter a pokemon, there is a 1/8192 chance that it will be shiny. AKA= Nobody has got them.

Ponytas are even more rare because of the location you encounter them, plus they are one of the most beautiful "shinys". People want this pokemons and they pay big sums of money for them.

Personally i've played pokemon red, silver, sapphire, fire red and heart gold and never saw one of this pokemons. I saw a golden Rattata once but this one goes for $500 at the most, cause its the most common one, plus the pokemon sucks. I Sold it to a cousin for $200 AND a gamecube game (RE4).
