Sure he might get 2000, but about 800 of those are when the defense is up 10+ points in 4th quarter and defenses are playing prevent.

People want to say AJ Green, whom wishes to be as good as Calvin. Just look at his game vs the Steelers. 1 catch... 1 catch vs that seconday is sad. Especially if you want to call him a top 2 or top 3 receiver.
Calvin is easily the best in the game and will go down as the best ever. The one and only to ever to get 2,000 yards receiving. Better soak it in because in your life time you will never see it again.

I love the people that always act like the records being broken today aren't that impressive and that it was more impressive in past decades.
For this particular situation, people seem to forget that years ago:
1. WR's could push off and gain much better position than today.
2. If a WR caught a ball and was pushed out before getting inbounds, it was still a completion.
3. Teams stacked the box a lot more leaving less DB's in coverage.
It goes on an one, but at the end of the day it almost evens out with the pro's and con's from each era.

To sort of go along with the post above^, I was curious as to what Jerry Rice's number of targets were in 1995 - I keep seeing that Calvin is on the most pass-happy team in a pass happy league.
Rice (1995): 122 rec, 1848 yards, 15 TD
Johnson (2012): 117 rec, 1892 yards, 5 TD
Johnson has 117 catches on 190 targets. I was just curious how many Rice had - I don't know where to look (as I don't know when they started keeping track of the stat). I guess it would also be interesting to see who had a higher % of targets of the QBs passes.
Edit:
49ers (1995): 432-644 passing
Lions (2012): 421-698 passing
Just looking at receptions since I can't see targets, the percentage of receptions that went to each receiver seems very similar.*Workout Journal: We form like Voltron: BoB/Exane/NWSkier/Gin/Hamzzza/Applecat*
