I run just about every day, maybe take one day off every week or two.

Mostly 1-4 mile runs. 6 minute mile splits/swimming/high reps in the gym

Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas on keeping mass on while doing a lot of cardio or is it just hell forever.

Why do you do so much cardio?

    Edit: ^Nvm

what kind of job do you want? And the only way you can hope to maintain muscle with all that cardio is to eat to maintain or gain weight

Cardio is awful. It never gets easier or more fun, and it basically just destroys my mass/gains.

good luck with Spec ops. I would quit caring about retaining muscle and focus on getting through training and then focus on it when you get through it.

i ride a bicycle, do about 60kms a week sometimes up to a hundy. Average speed ~30kmph (18.6mph).

I love it OP, running is too high impact/sucks anus comparatively. Just eat more, i stuggle to meet the extra cals tho especially on a gym day.

brb 600 cals burned in a ride, 600 cals at the gym, gotta eat 3500 to gain weight.

Who cares, you'll be a bad motherfugga when you come back.

    JTAC, CCT, PJ, or SOWT?

And, yes, screw aesthetics, dude. From what I've seen, most of the guys who make it through any SOF training are not the biggest, buffest dudes. In fact, when I was in tech school, I had a MTL who was a JTAC, and he was this short, skinny dude, maybe like 5'6", 5'7" and like 150 pounds, tops. Just go out there, bust your ass, and leave EVERYTHING on those training grounds. Good luck in your AF adventures. If all works out for me, perhaps our paths will cross someday.
