i got a painting job this summer, was promised that wage... ended up only getting paid for ten hours a day, when we worked 13 hour shifts, ended up at like $5.80 an hour not including taxes, brb broke as fuk for college

yes i did. went to a university for a bit (long personal story) and now i'm at community college for hopefully only a year. tuition = a little over 2 grand a semester so its not too bad.

that sucks... i'm currently working retail.. 2nd day in and i don't seem to mind it but the fact that ill still be in debt after a whole year of working.. it sucks.

i made like 900 bucks last week. worked like 70 hours doe

id make less than half that after tax...

my friend does pizza delivery and made like 400 ish supposedly in a few days to a week or something.. (lot of tip supposedly)

What am I doing with my life ?? Debating and stressing and waiting. CC and transferring are gonna be expensive as FUKK and I would have a decent paying job. Waiting to see what FA I can receive from my CC , If its not enough then I'm going to Vo-Tech instead. I wanted to go when I was a junior in HS but didn't have the grades for it.

What am I doing financially ? Sort weird. I get SSI cause I'm legally disabled. I could have a job at a deli up the street , dudes known me since I was a kid and offered me a job. I declined.

What am I trying to accomplish ?? Getting a car. Getting into school. Be on my own by 22. Have my career set in stone by the time I'm 25. Then work my way up the ladder. Married by 30.

So OP your prolly doing better then I am. Cheer up.

min wage def sucks man. i know that feel but your only 19. i see dudes on here 22+ still working min wage jobs. stay in school, network and stay focused it wont last forever. dont do delivery jobs if anything get a job waiting tables at a busy restaurant like outback or something. they make bank. I used to work at a small family restaurant in my neighborhood but had a falling out with the boss so i left. on weekdays with tips i'd average between $8-10 an hour. on weekends if it was busy $10-14 on average maybe more and this was not a legit large busy place.

OP just be thankful your grandparents let you live wit dem. My parents didn't want me to live at home anymore after I graduated college. I got a worthless degree and now I'm making $10/hr at a warehouse.

Yeah I would like to be a server/waiter at a steakhouse. My buddy is a server at Willy's Icehouse and on weekends when people buy a bucket of beer and 4 meals he gets a pretty large tip $10 per table and he can get 4-5 tables in an hour. A Friday night he can come away with $300 in tips.

will do sir. i have a possible coaching job for soccer (little kids). i dont know whats going on though. this guy just calls me whenever he needs me i guess? he wants me to come in for an hour and half tomorrow.
