havent really posted in this thread but have been lurking/following because I was and still am cutting when it was created. Currently I have dropped 20 lbs in 11 weeks (184-164). I got like 4-8 weeks left of cutting so 10-15 more lbs & I'll be back to cut like diamonds status since dreamer bulking lol!

Oct 1st I was 208.4 and 17.3%
Oct 8th, I'm at 207.8 and 17.2% "handheld meter"
16.3% according to http://www.healthcentral.com/cholest...2774-143.html#
Hips went down another o.5" at an even 39 now
Was really busy all this week and only went to the gym one day, still lost a little over 1/2 pound. Ate a bit more than I thought I would have while out at a restaraunt, I've normally been losing 1.5-2 lbs/week.1. Been pretty frustrated with my cut so far. Started October 1st at 195.2, only down to 192.0 here on the 10th. Been having under 1700 calories a day, 45mins cardio every day, and lifting 4 days a week. Last year when I did the same cut, I had lost 10 pounds by now. Guessing just water weight. Oh well, sticking to it. Debating on starting an EC stack to kick start things.

WTF!!! Fluctuating between 196 and 198. Trying to pick it up in the gym but seems like I injure myself every time I walk through the doors! Started dieting in May with great success up until about a month ago. I started lifting again to try and maintain what muscle mass i can. When I say lifting I'm talking relatively light weights compared to my heaviest, but I still manage to hurt something. First it was hip flexors then about a month later the muscle right on my tailbone and 2 days ago my left wrist. Feel like I'm never going to get a full weeks worth of training in! How **** am I supposed to do this is........... Sorry just needed to rant.

Hey guys. Was 171 at the beginning of August and am now 156.4lb so a little over a pound a week, not including initial water weight loss. Gonna start a harsher deficit of 1000 cals for a fat loss rate of 2lb a week. I can do it, cos my bodyfat % is still pretty high. Oh lawd, can't wait till I'm done to start bulking!!!
p.s. I've joined a couple cut accountability threads, so not sure if already posted here or now lol. Yep yep. I'd say it's successful, even though had a week or two of failing.
P.p.s. this thanksgiving weekend got carried somewhat into the week (e.g. fam came today and ate out) But I'm hoping that my common sense plan of fasting throughout the day of the cheat supper will balance it out and if not, I can still do a no carb day on shoulder day. (tomorrow) lol.
I am sort of leaning towards the idea that it's like a weekly budget instead of a daily budget as I have done this sort of thing before (e.g. 4000 cal one day due to party/bbq/etc, and then 24 hour fast).
Pretty cool stuff. I have learned a lot. srs though. I still have the bish tits due to crappy fat storage genetics. and fat loss genetics (lol fat from back, legs, arms, goes off first and then abdomen, chest is last to come off.)
GOOD LUCK TO ALL! NOT ONE STEP BACKWARDS!! haha )♛ PUNK AESTHETICS CREW™ ♛

so...I think I've rekindled that fire to fat-burning. In just 10 days, I'm starting to see a bit more ab definition and my lifts are steady (no longer going up).
I'm not stepping foot on the scale (it really has become unreliable anyway for me - the mirror is still king in determining my progress.) I can also say that I've set aside more "me time", away from work, so I'm totally 110% motivated and in the game.
I see some of you guys are hating the numbers the scale is giving you, but I'd say look at it with a grain of salt. If your lifts are progressing and you feel and look slimmer, then isn't that more important? Stay focused guys. We're almost halfway into the challenge.2011:

I had a pretty good week, though I did go on a snickers binge on Wednesday (I had 8 of those "fun size" peanut butter snickers). Aside from that I've kept up my cut and on Thursday I made up for that binge. I know a lot of people on here aren't runners but on Thursday I did my regular 10K in the morning (finished in just under an hour) and then at work there was an "Energy Awareness/Navy Birthday" 5k run that myself and a couple of co-workers decided to run (so all together I ran 9.35 miles on Thursday) and I finished the 5K in 27:18 a personal best for myself.
I'm down into the low 160s (161 earlier in the week and 164 today). I've still got some work to do, but I am excited for November 1st to come when I will take some new progress pics.
Hope all is well with everyone else.

Odd, my weight actually went up last week and I ate well and everything. Maybe it has something to do with muscle gain? Or maybe I was losing at too quick a rate? About 4 lbs per week for the last 3 weeks until last week. Hope the loss continues this week.

General question regarding cutting threads. I'm now down about 13 lbs since the beginning of September. For those who have been cutting for a while, do you normally jump into another cutting thread as soon as one is over (for instance, this one is over in December)? Do you join each one that pops up (Like the October-January one)? Looking for general thoughts and what keeps you motivated. I know reporting on here has helped me.

Only you can decide how long you cut and if you want to continue a cut. IMHO it depends on the muscle you are willing to give up. In general three months is adequate...if you are obese or have health issues then you may need a year or more to just get to a baseline to successfully build on.
I am down 25+ lbs in 8 weeks and shooting for 25-30 more in the next 8 weeks. I didn't really start cutting majorly until week 4-5 since I was worried about recovering from my shoulder surgery and didn't want to short change my nutrition. At week 7 I was in Disney world for a week so that was a wash. The last 2 weeks of that first 8, I lost 15lbs. 10lbs the first 6 weeks.
I am targeting about 1lbs every couple days. This is a fast cut...but I want to get back on track asap and have had to do this before so know what my pros and cons are.Re-becoming monster.

1g protein per lb of weight or LBM (only if really fat though) + 0.5g of fats per lb of LBM + Carbs + Total daily calories eaten < TDEE = Fat Loss
Don't forget about Weights.
Srs, read the stickies, they help a lot.
But yeah, I like chicken for protein, any meats that are lean is good (fish, poultry, some beef.) and I like Peanut Butter or olive/corn/flax oil for fats and then carbs is whatever else (sometimes IIFYM, but usually rice, bread, pasta or potatos, gotta switch it up or I'll go insane)♛ PUNK AESTHETICS CREW™ ♛
