    Beet Juice?

Anyone find adding beet juice and other green veggies (kale, celery, etc) before working out gives them an added boost? My friend suggested ditching my pwo and switch to fresh juice. Do you think it will be enough or should I add it in addition to my usual supplement? I actually own a juicer from a long time ago so it won't cost me anything to try the juice, but figured I'd ask peoples experiences.

I have a friend that cycles and swears beet juice helped him. He didn't know why he had such good days sometimes until he put two and two together about his occasional beet juicing.

It would make since that the nitrates can help. I would say it can't hurt to add in some fresh beet juice in addition to a PWO meal/shake.
