Bro, you said it yourself...People respect you at the gym because you lift heavy....Because weight lifting is your hobby. Sounds like you need to get another hobby.
Get a HAM radio. Learn how to use it. Go to ham radio meet ups.
Join a gun club (if you can do that down under).
Find a political party that suites you and volunteer. You'll be surrounded by people with same ideals.
You have bad anxiety or something brah? If not, these should work. If you do, go see a doctor and try out anti anxiety meds.
I'm pretty busy, but you can PM me for my number if you ever need someone to talk through things. No one should be forever alone.| **Knee Draggers Unite** | **Misc Firearms Crew** |

OP, you need to focus on your relationships with friends before you start worrying about girls. If you go out with a couple guys, you'll have immeasurably more confidence and not look so awkward sitting there by yourself.
You also can witness how your friends interact with girls, and learn what to and what not to do.
Also, you just need to force up some self confidence. Even if it's phony, carry yourself like you own a fortune 500 company. Smile a lot.** KNEE DRAGGERS UNITE **

Bro, you have the worse attitude. Life is short as phuck, why are you gonna waste it thinking like that? Most people out there are friendly, it's not hard to make connections with others, just don't be a ******* about it.
Don't blame other people over your lack of success in life, once you realize you are the one in charge of what happens in your life you will be much happier."Powerlifters shout at bodybuilders because bodybuilding produces mountains of muscle tissue with no functional purpose. Strongman competitors look down on powerlifters because there's more to strength than a one-rep max in three lifts performed with a minuscule range of motion. Olympic lifters, if you can find them, get to feel smug because every 4 years, you can turn on the TV at 3 AM and see them compete for gold. And everyone hates on CrossFit."

ever wish some guy would just walk up to you and be like "hey man why are you sitting here all alone what's the matter bro?"
start by being that guy op. maybe look around you and you might start seeing other people who are in your exact situation wishing for someone to approach them. i may be wrong, sry if i'm accusing you but many guys who seem to think like you are just very self centered.
just food for thought

i feel like the loser of the family. my parents know this. they;ve tried everything, are people supposed to just be sad 2/3rds of their life
i was the only kid to not go on the nyc/dc trip in 8th grade. i still have trouble sleeping away from my bed.
i hated sleep time at sleep overs because i would just sit in my little sleeping bag waiting for morning. if it was nice out, i'd watch the sunrise. sometimes with the kids parents i was sleeping over with. they would have coffee and i would have juice or four loko whatever i drank when i was a little guy. felt alone. missed out on a lot of drama on the nyc/dc trip, people thought i was strange because i didnt want to go. little did i know i had severe anxietyeducate yourself before you wreck yourself.
