My God you're tough on yourself You've managed to look in tip top condition all the way back to the 1990's and I expect part of the 80's(yes, yes a bit lighter and leaner through some of it). I know you've been hoping to see mass gains over the years. I don't think there is anyone here who has managed to consistently stay strong and look like a lifter as you have.
You do it because you're addicted and love it. So much fun and learning still to be had Larry :-)
Fit said it best \/\/
\/ Nice session on Tuesday. Second squat day in a row!! Great work on the deads. You earned that rest day. ha! I bet you pushed yourself knowing the rest day was coming.
The wall curls look like killers. Despite fragile RC's, your arms are solid and strong.
Do you even lift? lol
It's always a pleasure to study you Larry. You look amazing!
Admiring the solid arms, shoulders, traps and definition and size of the thighs. Chest looks great especially in that last photo..

Yep, worrying about the fact that there may not be that much progress to be made is a bit like worrying that your income is drying up when you are sitting on a $10m fortune that you have worked for over many years. There are a lot of us (both younger and not so young) that would give a lot to have a physique like that at any age, let alone late into our 60s.
At the end of the day what is important is to have got where you've got to, and to still have the energy and drive to keep at it, instead of resting on your laurels and letting it all go.
Hugely inspiring job Larry!☻/

Steve's right, Larry. For the past few years, I've always shown up for my appointments in gym shorts & tank. Only response is typically: "You must be going to the gym when you leave here, judging by the fact your clothes are dry."
GJ on today's workout! Chest supported rows look particularly strong.Inactivity Kills!!!
My journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140991491 Age is NOT an acceptable excuse.

Spent so many years showin' off, nowadays don't care much. If anything, I tend to keep covered so I don't have to answer questions. My form of "stay off my lawn" I suppose. I only open up to those like you who understand the "life". KWIM?
I'm just about to the point where letting my body respond to training well fueled is where I want to go. See how much age really affects my ability to increase my strength and body composition. After all, my years of training has been one long list of experiments. I suppose this next chapter will be much the same. Regardless of outcome, I love this shyt.
Bando is a great guy. Even though my schedule messed up our chance to train together, there is absolutely no doubt he trains. He is muscular and thick and has symmetrical lines that would easily carry over to the bodybuilding stage should he be so inclined. In addition he has a wonderful family who support his efforts.
I like the simplicity of the 5x5. Not sure how long I will stay with it. Depends on what my next goal is. Haven't totally settled on one yet. I have a serious medical issue that may/may not have to be dealt with in the next few months. (Testing starts again next month)
Not sure I could show Bando much. He knows his way around the iron.

It's nice to be recognized as a lifter but if it's is by a non-lifting sort, the convo tends to
get painful fast. So normally I don't bother.
Yeah, sessions been going fairly well. I'm happy.
Thanks for your concern. I should ok. I'll know more in the next few months. It's one of them there guy issues KWIM?

It's great to see you letting the BW rise and I think you'll find that age hasn't taken as much growth potential away as you might think. I love this shyt too, and I'm looking forward to your next 'experiment'
It's good to see that 169 and great to see you doing the deads along with the squats and heavy benching in the same session"Better to wear out than rust out!"

Agree about the deadz. If they weren't so damned important, I'd drop 'em. Yeah, the 5x5 keeps me honest.
I hope the fat I'm gaining doesn't find a permanent home on this old body. Gotta admit eating is fun again.
Thanks Flounder. Funny, that iron doesn't care one whit how old you are does it?

Mon & Fri botched my plan.
Good day today. Everything felt light.
Switched over to Yates style rows to
test the low back again. OK so far.
Tomorrow morning will tell the tale.
Topped off with some hammers. A pump for the
chump.
I see some drinkin' and eatin' in my future.
Have nice weekend everyone.
