Seriously..blows my mind how a guy can be making millions of dollars a year, buy $500k cars, and own 4 mansions but still wear a discount suit.
I would be dressing like this everywhere I go:

the only mega rich people I know, via my father, albeit not a whole lot, all seem to not waste their money on frivolous things which is what helped them get that rich. So unless they actually cared about it, or realized its a good investment, they didn't spend money in it.
but then again, i don't know many, and I'm sure many mega rich folks do care."classic Miscer dilemma...

my dad makes an ass load of money(actuary) and he will still wear shirts he still rocks 30 year old suits. fashion changes too much, its a great way to waste money. you can buy mostly timeless stuff, treat it well and itll last decades. you dont get rich by blowing money at every oppurtunity. Rich people love bargins, because thats how they accumulate money most of the time.

Because only wannabes care about fashion, while the real ballers are too rich to give a fuk wat they're wearing or what others think of them

Your fear is simply because you are not living with life. You are living in your mind. Your fear is always about what's going to happen next. That means your fear is always about that which does not exist. If your fear is about the nonexistent, your fear is 100% imaginary. If you are suffering the non-existential, we call that insanity. If you are rooted in reality, there would be no fear.

I live near Greenwich, Connecticut, which Id imagine most US/north east brahs will recognize as a land of suit wearing billionaires. Hondas everywhere. You can drive by houses worth 10mil, and see a pair of 5 year old accords infront. then across the street, an aston martin and an old grand cherokee. rich people have strange buying habits.

Despite popular belief many millionaires are frugal as hell. This is how they became rich and even though they are now millionaires they still will clip coupons from the paper to save 50 cents at the grocery store. Many of them preach that defense (saving money) is more important to getting rich than offense (amount of income), although it helps when you are making $100k+ a year.

I guess you're right lol. Reminds me of when I bought my first car in Yaletown, Vancouver (brb no home is under 1.5 mil)… it was a 2004 Honda Civic from a young couple who were in finance together. Their other car was a Maserati, strong wtf. At least they gave me a massive discount because I was a student lol

I'm losing brain cells reading the responses in this thread. The reason why you don't see Lloyd Blankfein (the wallstreet executive in OP's picture) wearing tacky hipster-looking designer clothing is because 1) he's a grown senior 2) he works on wallstreet and would be tainting goldman sachs's image 3) life isn't a fashion show for him, he isn't some brain dead athlete but instead he's an executive of a commerical bank that has nearly 1 trillion dollars of equity and $30bn of revenue.
ps - if you think the suit he's wearing is "cheap" then you are sadly misinformed thus deeming the responses in this thread (oh, they're all frugal) irrelevant. his entire outfit is probably nearing the yearly salaries of some miscers on this forum.
