I am not vegan, my friend is. I'm trying to help her but I really don't know where to start since I am not vegan.
I've looked online for a 'vegan' protein powder but I'm not sure which to pick. I think she also mentioned she was allergic to soy but I can't remember if it was her or someone else. Any suggestions?
What would you mix the protein powder with? just water?
Thank you.

I like Vega (http://myvega.com/products/vega-one-...tures-benefits) and Garden of Life (http://www.gardenoflife.com/Products...4/Default.aspx).
If she's near a Whole Foods Market, be sure to grab some coupons ==> http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/couponswww.arthritis.org | www.carfintl.org

I know I'm not helping, but a vegan allergic to soy? I don't even want to know how her diet looks right now.
Anyway look at hemp or pea protein like other people said. Or try to convince her that being vegan is ridiculous if it's not for medical reasons.Dirty Leb Crew

Vega and SunWarrior
In addition to Vega (hemp protein), there's SunWarrior (brown rice protein). Be warned that Vega turns everything green which freaked me out psychologically after a while but SunWarrior blends quite normally into all kinds of foods (from sweet to savory). Only tried Natural from each brand so can't speak to the flavors. Also, I think it's good to switch proteins out occasionally. Just an opinion, not based on fact. Both have approx 20g protein per serving.
[Edit: I'm new to the forums which means I can't post links. Sorry but both proteins are easy to find with their brand names.]
