I'm really sick right now and my main goal is to continue on with my diet. I'm eating about 1.9k a day (slow metabolism). I'm currently at a 102.3 fever, should I eat and extra 500 to help with the recovery?
I'm also against OTC medicines when sick, so I won't take pain killers unless I absolutely need to.

So, does the body burn more calories at a higher temperature?

body needs to keep the temperature somewhere near 36ºC , so we are always "wasting" energy with this.
Broscience from now on.
I figured the closer the temperature int he room is to 36ºC the less energy the body uses, doesn't matter if it is 30 hotter or colder, just needs to be as far as our regular temp as possibleThere is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness. Friedrich Nietzsche

Yes, I'm certainly no expert On the subject, but I'd imagine your bodies attempt to regulate temperature and bring down your fever would increase calorie burn. However, if you are sick, id guess you may be less active than normal, meaning less calorie burn. If this is the case the 2 may cancel each other.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much about the diet while Ill, if you want to eat more, do so, prority should be recovery, although thats not to say you should just eat loads of junk☆☆☆υк ¢яєω☆☆☆
